FOLD-OLLAR.
Patented t Application filed `ctplril 30, 1917. Serial No. 165,356.
To all whom t may concern:
` Be it known that I, Homann l?. Hman, a citizenof the United States, residing at Troy, county of Rensselaer7 and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Fold-Collars, of which the following is a speeieation.
Reference may he had to the accompanying drawing, and. the reference characters marked thereon, which form a part of this specification. Similar characters refer to similar parts in the severaltigures therein.
This invention relates to the type of foldcollar end adapted to be secured between the band and thefoldedover top at the other end of the collar. Y
As heretofore constructed, it has been customary to thus extend one end only of the bandand to provide in addition to the means for securing the band to a` shirt-neckband, means for securinfr only said single extended end between the lhand and the folded-over top at the other end Such collars were adapted for convenient lise by persons found it somewhat inconvenient and awkward to secure such extended end of the bandi,l
If such collars were made reversible, righthanded persons found it equally inconvenient and awkward'to secure the extended end of the band when the collar was in reversed form.
The principal object of this invention is to make such a collar right-handed or lefthanded at will, in either its original form or reversed form.
Other objects will appear in connection with the following description.
perspective of a fold-collar embodying my invention, the ends of' the collar being slightly separated.
Fig. 2 is a view of the collar opened out at. Y
Referring to the drawings wherein the invention is shown in preferred form, 1 is top, of a fold-collar, the top being adapted to be folded over upon the band in use.
The band iskprovlded with the usual front buttonholes, 3, and back buttonhole, 4,

right-handed persons only, and left he used with least poss Figure l of the drawln@ 1s a front view in i whereby the band can he de'taehahlyseenred to a shirt-neckband not shownB The collar is made alike at hoth ci ends ofthe hand being similari; e as at 5, these extended ends 'oei tively adapted each to enter netfirms band and the top at the other end collar.
lin addition to the hnttonheles the hand is provided near it n1, with four hnttonhoies, -G l1-Jl, hnttonholes, being located in t spective extended end portions 5mn o hand, and the ota'er two hnttonhele being located at sneh distan spective ends of the hand each with. said lmttonholew 6, end of the band at the othe:
The ends of thecoilar overlap one another alter to left, or from left to sired; and in either case e of the band which overlaps the other extended end, 5 of hand is serted between the ha nd and the :tol top at the other end of the liar an cured by a stud or collar hutten, not inserted through its hnttonhoie, ti, i coperative huttonhole, Y, at the o of the collar.
