Be it knownthat LELIAS J osErH, a citizen of the, United States, residing at Washing holder,.and hanger, in thense of which gar' ton, in the District of cohimbiafhavei in vented certain, new anduseful Improvements in Pattern Holders, Savers, and Hangers,
of which the following is a specification.
This 1nvent1on relates to. apattern. saver,
nientpatterns, eitherysingly, or in full sets fora person, may be securedin a protected, segregated manner, for ready future, referofthe coat, vest ,and trousers, are designed after initial useito be kepthtogetherfor future use and reference, and the nature of the materialfrom whichYsuch patterns are niade, renders; it diflicnltlto keep snch in proper order lwithont 1 damage, [and yet readllyaccess ble when desired for use. T he; present .inventlon contemplates a 1; holder,preferably,constructed from alsingle blank, in whiclrthepatterns may be readily andquic'kly secured tlie holder providing a- Strt cture in which,theilpatterns are fully protected, and by which thepaaems may a be suspended, in a conveniently accessible manner, so that any desired. pattern, or set of. patterns Fmay be quickly secured, when desired, for reference or reuse, without"dis turbingotheripatterns,v f
- The improved holder .is' preferably made of' substantial face section,between which the pattern or patterns; are to ics securedthe blank being also formed to provide an integral hook, by means .of whiclrtheholder with the con,
tained patterns may be suspended from a;

The bearing portions 10 ofthecl ps] are, comparatively long, relatively; considered, so'as to provide a firm clainpingfaction and, pre;
when in use.
The-seotlqllsgnnd 4 are each formednear vent buckling or bending of the sections their lower free edges, and approximately centrally of their widths, with an opening 11, the said openings registering when the sections of the holder are in closed relation. These openings permit the use of a fastener, as an ordinary paper fastener 12, to be passed through the opening in the back 4,
through the patterns 13 to be secured in the holder, and through the opening in the front 3, after which the fastener may be opened to secure the parts together.
The back section 4 is preferably formed within the plane of the cut out portion of the face section, with an opening 14, providing for the use of a similar fastener to that previously described, when storing small patterns, or when it' i'sdesiredto'seeure thepat terns at two remote points Within the holder.
In the form shownin Figs. and ,2, the,
holder outline is square at the corner remote from the hook, the 1 similar-,i opposite corner being rounded. The corners adjacent the hooknre cut out, ,a:S,.:at@15 andv16,:so that the general outline of this form of the holder is that of a coat front. V
In Fig.3 the construction is similar to thatfde'scribemthe variationbeing secured in having both corners remote from the hook 'square, .andf-the face sections corners adja- ,centfthe', hook square, Wlth the back section cutout. In ,Figgi l, thevariation is again in the forinfor outline, all corners be ng square.

the fron and back sections may bemade separate, and used as in a preferred form.
Furthermore, the backsection may, in the event that the sections become detached used to support and in a measure protect the patterns, by securing the patterns thereto by paper fasteners or the like through the holes 11. Furthermore, in all the forms described it is apparent that if desired the back section may be provided with lines for suitable data, as "described in connection with the front section, and that the sections may be reversely folded from that previously described, with the present front section becoming the back section'j This provides for a double use of the device." 7 i What is claimed is '1 A pattern holder constructed'of a flat rectangular strip adapted 'tobe folded on the transverse median line to provide substantially similar flat contacting front and back sections, the front section portion being cut out prior to folding to leave acentral part in the plane of and rigid with the back section in folding, said cut-out portion being-formed into a supporting member by shaping and reducing said central part, whereby an appreciable opening is'formed in the front section adj acentand below theline of fold.
