This operation can be readily performed because it can be done on a flat table or other support The hanger fitting 11 extends through the top of the housing and since the tray is closed on five sides and partly closed on the sixth side by a part 10, it follows ishal; dust and insects are excluded, The accomplishment of the last named result is promoted by the contractile inserts, when present, because they tend to draw the walls of the housing into close contact with the Walls oi the tray which are near the open end 7 of the housing. The receptacle with the garment in it can be transported by means of the attachment 11, which for this purpose may be connected with a suitable fixture in a delivery Wagon or yarn and upon arrival at the destination the clot-hes can be readily removed from the receptacle and will be found to be nncreased and in perfect order by simply opening the receptacle and disconnecting the hanger from the fitting, and then hanging the hanger in any appropriate cupboard or closet. Uf course if desired. the garments may be removed from the hanger. The receptacle may then be sent back to the shop or factory from which the goods Were delivered.

If desired. the garments may be kept in the receptacle which can be hung up in an appropriate cupboard or closet or otherwise stored until the garments are Wanted. When this is done the receptacle prevents the garments from rubbing against or contacking with other garments and in this Way ranipling or massing is obviated.

It will be obvious to those in the ant to which the invention relates that modifications be made in. details of construction and arrangexnent for example, in order to suit the receptacle to different kinds. of garments hence the invention is not limited as to those mntters'or in any way other than the prior state of the art and the appended claims may require.

l. A clothes receptacle comprising the combination of a generally rectangular housing having four closed sides and one open and one closed end and having in its closed end a small opening, and m inwith. a hanger fitting adapted to pass.
