FURNITURE-POLISH.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that T, LUTHER P. MILBURN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Boulder, in the county of Boulder and State of Colorado, have invented or discovered a new and useful Furniture-Polish, of which the following is a description.
My invention pertains to a furniture pol ish to be used for the purpose of cleaning, polishing and renewing the finish of all finished woods, both varnish and waxfinishes. This polish may also be used advantageously for cleaning marbles, and enamel bath tubs and similar surfaces.
My improved composition comprises the following ingredients in substantially the proportions stated, viz: linseed oil, about parts; apple vinegar, about 70 parts; acetic acid one to four parts; and a pungent vegetable oil, preferably oil of peppermint or oil of citronella, about 1 part.
The ingredients named are to be thoroughly mingled by agitation and the polish is then ready for use.

The polish is then applied with any soft cotton cloth or cheese cloth, and it is not necessary that the surface be cleaned before polishing as this composition cleans as well as polishes. To give the desired finish soft cheese clothshould be used on the surface to which the polish has already been applied and should be rubbed lightly.
Having thus described my invention or discovery what I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:
The herein described composition of matter for a furniture polish, consisting of linseed oil, vinegar, acetic acid, and a pungent vegetable oil, in substantially the proportions stated.
