IMPROVEMENT IN BREAST-PINS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 121,440, dated November 28, 1871.
To all Awhom it may concern:
Be it known that I, AUGUSTE WEILLER, of the city of New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Ornament for Wearing Apparel, of which the following is a specification:
My invention consists in an improved breastpin, applicable to the scarf, neck-tie, or shirtbosom. It will be irst fully described, and then clearly pointed out in the claim.

A is the plate of the thermometer, graduated in the usual manner; and B, the thermometer, suitably attached to the plate. G is an attaching device, consisting of a bent pin projecting,` from the back of the plate A, by which the latter may be quickly and conveniently attached to any part of the clothing.
The plate A and thermometer B may be made in any desired ornamental shape or coniiguration, and of such reduced size as to present an ornamental appearance when attached or worn lupon the clothing, and the thermometer may be so correctly made and its plate graduated as to give at all times the correct indication of the temperature.
I do not claim, broadly the use of themometers for ornamental purposes; but- Having thus described my invention, I claimY as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- As an article of manufacture, a thermometerpin, composed of thermometer B, plate A, and pin C, as and for the purpose set forth.
