To all 'zc/7mm t may concern Be it known that l? Wimmer F. Es'rns, a citizen of' the United States, residing at Zark, in the county of Christian and State vide a wrench including a stationary jaw having` a tireaded shank, a :,novable jaw arranged upon the said shank, a handle hav ing a threaded bore adapted to be screwed upon the shank and a'resilient and removable connection between the handle and the movable jw, whereby one end of the said movable `iaw may be fulorumed upon the handle and swung thereon to assume an angle with relation to the stationary `yaw.
With the above and other objects'in view, the improvement resides in the construction, combination and arrangement of parts set forth in the following specification and falling w'thin the scope of the appended claim.

Referring now to the drawings in detail, the numeral l designates the head ofa stationary jaw, and 2 the shank which is arranged at'a right angle to the head.v `Thx shank, for the maior portion ot its lengt has its opposite edges provided with threads 3. Y.
The numeral 4 designates the movable ]aw and 5 the right angular shank or body thereof'. The body o is provided with a bore whereby the same is loosely arranged upon the shank of the stationary jaw, and the said bore at its'end formed with the jaw e is oli' a greater area. than at its opposite end,
so that the opposite longitudinal walls provided by the bore are beveled or inclined from. the jaw end 'of the said body to the opposite ends thereof and the reduced end loosely engages the shank of the stationary Jaw. l
The numeral 6 designatesv a handle which is provided with a threaded bore that engages the threads of the shank 2 of the stationary jaw. The handle at itsiinner end is formed with annular boss or shoulder 7 which is adapted to contact with the arcuate shaped end of the body of the movable jaw so as to allow the movable jaws to accommodate a slight arcuate'movement.
The numeralv 8 designates a fiat spring which is removably connected to, what may ,be termed, theunderface of the body of the movable jaw through the medium of a screw 9. The spring has one of its ends' contacting with the o'se't jaw provided upon the body or shank of the movable jaw and its opposite end formed with an angular iange which is adapted to engage with the annular or circumerential shoulder 7 of the handle. The spring is adapted to exert a pressure so as to sustain the aw of the movable member at an angle with relation tothe jaw of the stationary member, but the cover 4 of the body of the movable jaw is so arranged that the pressure of the spring will force the movable jaiv normally into contact with an `article arranged between the stationary and the movable jaws, as will be readily perceived by 'reference to the drawings.
From theabove description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, the simplicity of the device, as well as the ad- `vantages thereof will, it is thought., be perfectly apparent to those skilled in the art to which such inventions appertain without further detailed description.
