State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Motion-Picture- Film Cabinets, of which the following is a specilication. y

as shown in full lines in Fig. 2. The pivotal` connection for each ,film holder is so posi tioned that when Aa reel is positionedvtherein, film holder v will be moved'to and from its open and closedposition, by giving ita slight initial impulse or impetus, the `handle 19 being v'provided on each film holder for that purpose.

It is obvious therefore, that I have provided a cabinet which'may be built in various sizes accordingto the requirements of the user, having a plurality of compartments, each having a pivotally mounted holder adapted to hold a motion picture film reel, each compartment being separatefrom the other so as to be isolated to prevent communication of fire from one compartment to the other.

The cabinet Lis preferably made of sheet metal, but any other suitable fire proof material may be utilized, as is obvious,'the invention being directed to theconstruction as hereinbefore described.

l2. A fire-proof cabinet of the character described, having aplurality ot' partitions therein extending from the top to the Abottom walls and from the rear to the front walls,

whereby a plurality of entirely separate compartments is provided, the front wall of each compartment being open, a film holder pivotally mounted in'each compartment and having a bottom and sides, part of said bot-` tom being adapted to serve as a closure for the opening into its compartment when the film holder is in its closed position so that the contents of each holder are entirely separated from the contents of the others.

3. A. fire-proof cabinet of the character dev scribed, having a plurality 'of partitions length and having a straight portion merg-i ing into said curve, saidv straight portion and part of the curved portion of the bottom member` serving as the closure'for its compartment when the film holder is in its closed position so that the contents of each holder` are entirely separated from the contents o'f the others.

4. A fire-proof cabinet of the character described having acompartment therein, aj i film holder pivotally mounted in said`compartment, said holder having side Wallsand a. bottom member, said bottom member being curved for a substantial portion of its lengt from the top to the bot-V whereby itfis adapted to receive a film reel i and also being straight for a portion of its length, said straight portion and part of the -eurved portion of the bottom memberof said holder being adapted to serve as a closure for said compartment when said film holder is in its closed position.v

a bottom member, said bottom member'being curved for a substantial portion of its length whereby it is adapted to receive and fit' a lm reel and also being straight for aporpart of the curved portion ofthe bottom member of said holder being adapted to serve as aA closure` for said compartment when said film holder is in its closed position, the pivotal mounting of said lm holder being provided by forming the bot# loin member thereof with `an extension having an eye and a rod secured to said cabinet and passing through said eye.

6. A dre-proof cabinetl of the character described having its front Wall provided with a plurality of openings and curved inwardly in its lower portion, a plurality of 'tion of its length, said straight portion and s partitions extending from the top to the botivalls and from the rear to the front iis and dividing said cabinet into a plui y of entirely separate compartments, the openings in said front wall providing the entrances into said compartments, a film bolder for each compartment, said holder inciuding side walls and a bottom member,

*sind bottom member being curved for a substantial portion ci its, length and also having rality of openings and curved inwardly in its .lower portion, Aa plurality of partitions dividing said cabinet into a plurality of separate compartments,'the openings in said front wall providing the entrances into said compartments, a lm holder for each compart-ment, said holder including side weils and a bottom member, said bottom member being curved for a substantial portion of its length and also having a straight portion, said straight portion and part of the curved portion of said bottom member corresponding in shape to said front wall of the cabinet, whereby when the lm holder is in its closed position, a closure will be provided for the opening. into its compartment, the part of said bottom member of each holder which forms the closure bein'g extended beyond the side walls thereof to provide flanges which extend beyond the edges of the opening into its compartment, each of said film holders being pivotally mounted.

8. A lire-proof cabinet of the character described, having a, plurality of partitions therein whereby a plurality-'lof entirely sepa.- rate compartments is provided, a film holder for each compartment, said film holderA havingside walls and a bottom member, said bottom member being-'curved for a substantial portion of its length and being straight for the remainderof its length, said straight portion and part of the Acurved portion of said bottom member being adapted to provide a closure for its compartment, said film holders being pivotally mounted in vsaid compertinents and so balanced that their movements to and from their open and closed positions will be materially assisted by gravitation, the curved portion of said bot- I tom member of each -holder being so formed as to receive and iit a ilm reel and also adapted to slightly project the lm reel when the holder is in its-open position.,
