ADJUSTABLE BRACKET FOR- CURTAIN-FTXTURES.
bracket which is easily adjusted to curtain fixtures of varying lengths so that the en tire bracket will not have to be removed in order to be adapted to different lengths of fixure.
My invention is also adapted to the use of a support for drapery poles which may be adjusted to various heights without disturbing the fixture.
I accomplish these objects bythe devices shown in accompanying, drawings, in which- Figure 1, is a front elevation; Fig. 2, a
sectional view on the line 1-2, Fig. 1;-
Figs. 3, 4:, 5, and 6, perspective viewsjof parts of my invention; Fig. 7 is a perspective view of one of the supports A showing the shade roller bracket applied thereto, and Fig. 8 is an inverted perspective view of a slightly modified form of support A.
Similar letters refer to similar parts throughout the various drawings.
In Fig. 1, A A, are supports adapted to be fastened permanently to the casing of a window, and having the bands (Z d, Fig. 6, to receive the brackets 79 0 supporting the curtain roller B, which is an ordinary spring roller or other similar type.- The brackets 19 c are held in place upon the supports A A by the bands d d which pass around the face of the supports A A (see Fig. 7), and are turned back on the opposite side of the supports about 3; inch (see Figs. 2 and 8). The shade brackets Z2, 0, are each provided with right angularly extending bases R, R, which are adapted to be positioned between the bands OZ, 0?, and the supports A, for holding said brackets in position upon the supports. The base portions of said brackets are curved slightly, as shown at 4, and the extreme ends thereof are cut so asto provide cutting edges 5.
As shown in Fig. 7, the band 0! is moved I, ETTA BURGOYNE, a-
shade roller B. The right hand bracket to fill the window casing full of holes for support draperies.

over thefcurved portion f of the shade bracket,-"wlien itis desired to rigidly secure said bracket in positionupon the sup port A, thus causii'ig the cutting edge 5 of the base Rte bite into the surface of the support A toreliably hold the shade bracket lar in form and are depressed at the points marked X X X, seeFigs. 7 and 8, also sectional view Fig. 2 on line 1 and 2. The brackets A each consistofa horizontal portion 2, and a vertically disposed portion 1,, formed integrally with each other. These points have small holes e e 6 through which an ordinary brass headed tack secures them to casing.
Figs. 3 and 4 show the right and left hand brackets respectively, which hold the (shown in Fig. 4) has a hole V and the left hand bracket a slot S for the projecting me tallic end of curtain roller 13. F
It will readily be seen from the drawings that through c e the supports are fastened to a window casing. They need not be moved thereafter for varying lengths of roller so that in case "of houses rented to successive tenants it will not be necessary varying lengths of roller. All that will be necessary is to remove the brackets be,
slide the bands to theproper positionuntil they are adapted tolength ofrroller used and replace bracket between bands and support, and the fixture is, complete.
Another portion of my invention adapted to be used in combination with shade roller support is an adjustable support for a drapery pole as seen in Figs. 1 and 2. In these figures C represents a pole used to This pole is held in place by the bracket J which is adjusted i to support A on its vertical section by passing the slide F (as will be seen in sectional drawing Fig. 2) between band M and support .A, securing bracket {to support. The
perpendicular section of the support permits the vertical adjustment of pole C to suit draperies of varying lengths.

ing adapted to have biting engagement-With the frame and said strap being narrower than the angular end portion of the bracket, whereby the strap can be moved on the bracket to permit of the Withdrawal of the deflected end portion of the bracket from biting engagement- With the frame.
