To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, WILLIAM D. HANSEN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented new and useful Improvements in Brushes, of which the followsingle mass of bristles di'sposed axially of said spreading member whereby the maximum flare is given the outer end of said mass.

Having thus described the invention, what 7 is claimed is- A powdered soapapplicator comprising, a pliable powder retainin and spreading member including inner an outergroups of bristles, the bristles of the outer grou being extended beyond the bristles o the inner group, the said inner and outer bristles being extended toward a common point and being compactly associated at their inner ends to resent a single mass of bristles axially 0? said spreading member, whereby the maximum flare is given the outer end of.
