Abstract

Description

  As specified herein, the surface need not be the surface of a subject, but rather can be any surface of any material that is desired to be delivered. Brush heads are routinely used for painting for professional purposes such as home or fence, hobbies, or artistic purposes. For certain applications of the present invention, stripe reduction and rubbing are desirable and can be incorporated into artistic representations in paintings when, for example, various artistic tools are used. One interesting example is the use of the present invention in the pseudo-finishing of furniture, walls and ceilings, where the desired effect requires a tool such as the tool of the present invention.

  In a further aspect of the invention, the surface is a human surface.

  In one preferred embodiment of the invention, the surface is a human surface, preferably skin, and more preferably a publicly exposed surface. In that example, cosmetics for the head, neck and face are preferred but not necessary because certain cosmetics are used to mask certain incomplete pigmentation, scarring, or other factors .   In another aspect of the invention, the material is a liquid cosmetic product.

  The preferred embodiment of the present invention is a liquid cosmetic, but other types of cosmetics are applicable to the present invention. This aspect of the invention is preferred when the inner region of the hair bundle acts as a sump for the material. In this example, the material can “soak” into the area inside the hair bundle and is still available for application to the surface.

VI Method of Using a Brush A sixth aspect of the present invention is a method of using the brush of the present invention, the method comprising: a) providing a surface for applying the material; b) the brush of the present invention. Providing; c) applying the material to the brush; and d) transferring the material from the brush head to the surface.

  As specified above with respect to the method of using a brush head, the brush of the present invention may be used in the same or similar manner as the brush head, and the above sections are incorporated herein by reference.

Example 1: Technology Development This example provides and establishes the initial development of technology and prototype brush heads, brushes, methods of making them, and methods of using them.
