certain new and useful Improvements in Skin-Stretching Boards, of which the fol lowing is a specification.

y invention relates to improvements in skin stretching boards, the object of the invention being to provide a board to which the skin may be secured, and which comprises a plurality of parts all of which are movable relative to each other, so that the skin can be uniformly stretched in all directions. i

A further object is to provide a board of the character stated having means for compolling each one of the sections of the board to be moved away from a normal position, and permit the sections to be moved independently so as to allow the neck portion of the skin to be stretched after the body portion has been stretched or vice versa.

A further object is to provide aboard of the character stated which will be of extremely inexpensive construction, strong and durable in use. i

These rods 16 are positioned. at rightangles to the rods 7 ,and extend through the. end section 3 and have screw-threaded portions engaging screw-threaded openings inblocks 10 secured by bolts 11 and nuts 12 to the edge of end section 3. In other words, the blocks 10 of the end sections. are precisely like the blocks for the side sections, and hence. they are given similar reference characters and will be given the same reference characters in all of the different modifications hereinafter referredto. In operation, the skin 8 is secured by nails 9 to the sec. tions .1, 2, and 3, the neck portion of the skin being preferably secured to the end section 3. By manipulating the several rods 7 and 16, all of the sections can be moved relative to each other to stretch the skin. The preferable operation is to first separate sections 1 and 2, causingthewbody portion of the skin to stretch laterally or transversely, and then move the end section 3 to desired. On

As the parts are normally operated in a horizontal position, the coupling blocks 25 are all that is necessary to hold the sections and permit all of the sec tions to be moved toward and awayrfrom their inner position as is desired in stretching the skin.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
