UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.

CLOTHES-DRIER.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Nov. 17, 1914.
Application filed June 19, 1913. Serial No. 774,607.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, SIXTEN citizen of the United States, residing at Worcester, in the county of Worcester and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new and useful Clothes-Drier, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to clothes drlers of the class adapted to be detachably mounted upon a convenient supporting structure, such as a stove top, and comprises a plurality of radial arms or rods mounted upon a single supporting plate.
The object of the invention is to improve and simplify the construction of such devices and to render the same readily and easily detachable from their supportlng structure.
A preferred form of my invention 1s shown in the drawings, in which Figure 1 is a perspective view of the invention as applied to the top plate of a stove; Fig. 2 is a top plan view of the device one of the radial rods being omitted to show the construction underneath the same; Fig. 3 is an edge view of the device looking in the direction of the arrow 3 in Fig. 2, the rods being omitted; Fig. 41 is a sectional side elevation on the line H of Fig. 2; and Fi 11;; but showinga radial rod in reversed position.
This device is of exceedingly simple construction and consists of a supporting plate 10 and a plurality of radial rods supporting plate is provided at one edge with an integral, downwardly-offset projecting portion 12 by which the supporting plate may be mounted upon any convenient supporting structure, such as the stove top 18, by passing the projection 12 through a perforation in the stove top or other supporting surface. The plate 10 is also pro- A. Rosnn, a
vided near its opposite edge with a plu-.
rality of perforations 14c and in the preferred form of my invention the plate 10 is also provided with a series of radial de- Copies of this patent may be obtained for five cents each,
5 is a partial sectional view on the same 11. The
It will be seen that by the use of the supporting plate 10 1 am enabled to attach a plurality of rodsll to any desired supporting structure by providing a single perforation therein.
It is evident that many modifications of this device may be made within the scope of my invention, and I do not wish to be limited to the precise form disclosed in the drawings, but 9 What I do claim is v A clothes drying device comprising a stove having a flat top plate with a perforation extending vertically therethrough near the outer edge thereof, a flat supporting plate having at one edge a downwardly ofiset attaching member effective sorted in said perforation to support the plate in horizontal position, said plate projecting beyond the edge of the top plate and being free to turn about the center of said perforation as an "axis, and a plurality of rods detachably mounted in radial spaced relation on said supporting plate and extending therefrom in a horizontal plane.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand, in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
SIXTEN A. ROSEN.
