Be it known that I, CLAUDE d. ALLEN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Early, in the county of Sac and Statel of Iowa, have invented a new and useful rn provement in Root-Windows, of which the following is a specification.

The-object of my inventionis to rovide a boxing and Window trarne for win ow roofs constructed entirely of sheet metal, and of simple, durable and eilieient construction.

A further object of my invention is to provide means forl raising and lowering a window for Ventilating purposes. s

A Jfurther object of my invention is to 'provide means to prevent the window .from

`being raised from the outside.

A further obJect of my invention ,is t0 provide a Awindow traine with means for4 ze rotecting the glass in the frame against ail and the-like.

My device cnsists essentially of a sheet- Inetal boxing for windows, and a sheetrnetal window frame hingedly mounted on said boxing, and upright members secured to said frame and provided with crosspieces, to which is secured a Screening to irotect the device against hail and the like.
