To all whom itmay concern:
Be it known that I, CALVIN COLE, of Dayton, in the county of Montgomery and State of Ohio, have invented a new and valuable improvement in Gate- Latches; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and'exact description of the construction and operation of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawing making a part of this specification, and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon.

This invention consists in the arrangement of a suspended swinging latch, pivoted at its upper end in a 7 socket attached to the gate-and provided at its lower end with a triangular foot projectinghorizontally from the latch, with a'catch madefiist to the gate-post and.
