IMPROVEMENT IN SAU-.SAGE-STUEFERS.

To all whom it may concern:

13e it known that we, JACOB M ronnnrand J onN E. HARTMAN, both of Cashtown, iu the count)r of Adams and State 0f Pennsylvania, have invented new A and useful Improvements in Sausage-Stuffers; and we do hereby'deelare the following to be a clear and exact description of the nature thereof sufficient to enable others skilled in the art to which our inven- -tiou appertaius to fully understand and use the same,

reference being had to the accompanying drawing making part of this specification, in which- Figure 1 is a Side view, partly in section, of the device, illustrating our invention.

Figure 2 is an end view thereof.

Similar letters. of reference indicate corresporuling parts in the two' figures.

ur invention is an improvement in sausage-stuffers, and-consists inthe combination and arrangement of -certain parts, as will be hereinafter described.

In thedrawing- A represents a't-able or platform, by preference iuclined in the direction of its length, and mounted on suitable legs or feet, B.

At one end of the table there rises a standard or block, which forms the bearing for a screw or screwrod, C. lhissc'rew extends longitudinally with the table A, and is formed with a crank-handle, D, for convenient operation. l

At the otherend of the table we hinge oneeud of the meat-receiver or boX E,- which cousists,by'prefer ence, of a sheet-metal cylinder, but maybe constructed of airy other form and material, and having a spout, F, as is usual in such cases. l

To the inner end of the screw C there is swiveled a plunger or head, G, which is adapted to t the'receiver E, and be introduced into and withdrawrrii'om saidV receiver by the rotation of the screw. In operation the receiver is' thrown up, t-lrus presenting its mouth and permitting the ready lling of the receiver". 'lhe latter is vnow lowered on the table,
