Description
C. LUKAG.
ANTIREFILLABLE BOTTLE.
APPLICATION 211.21) MAY 1, 1913.
Patented Mar. 10, 191% INVENTOR iLuJrac' 7 9 M E il CHOVANEG LUKAC, OF YUKON, PENNSYLVANIA.
ANTIREFILLABLE BOTTLE.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Cnovanno LUKAG, a subject of the King of Hungary, residing at Yukon, in the county of \Vestmoreland and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Antiretillable Bottles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.
This invention relates to an anti-refillable bottle, and the objects of my invention are to tarnish a bottle or other receptacle with a novel closure, which when broken passes longitudinally of the bottle without commingling with the contents thereof, and to furnish a bottle or other receptacle with a longitudinal conduit that is normally closed whereby the bottle cannot be surreptitiously filled.
Further objects of my invention are to provide an antia'efillable bottle that eliminates the nefarious practice of unscrupulous merchants in refilling bottles that once contained a popular brand with an inferior product and disposing of the same as the original goods, and to provide a bottle of the above type that is simple in construction, durable, and highly etiicient :for the purposes for which it is intended.
I attain the above and other objects by a mechanical construction that will be here-- inaifter specifically described and then claimed, and reference will now be had to the drawing, wherein Figure 1 is a vertical sectional view of a bottle in accordance with this invention, and Fig. 2 is a horizontal sectional view of the same.
Further describing my invention in detail with reference to the accompanying drawing wherein like numerals denote corresponding parts throughout: 1 denotes, by way of an example, a bottle having a neck 2 and a bottom 3. The neck 2 is partially closed, as at l and provided with a small opening 5. This opening is normally closed by a countersunk cap 6, preferably made of breakable, transparent material, as glass or celluloid. The cap can be secured to the Specification of Letters Patent.

Serial No. 764,912.
closed end of the neck 2 by cement or other material, or in some instances it can be formed integral with the closed end of the neck. The bottom 3 of the bottle is formed integral with a longitudinal tubular stem or conduit 7 that extends into the neck 2 and is provided with a tfunnelshaped mouth 8. The inner walls of the conduit 7, intermediate the ends thereof, have an annular seat or enlargement 9, :for a stopper 10 that made of rubber or other yieldable material. The stopper 1.0 is carried by a rod 11 arranged in the outer end of the conduit and said rod has a finger piece in the form of a ring 12 that is housed within the lower end of the conduit.
To open the bottle it is necessary that the cap 6 be broken and as this is accomplished the pieces of the cap fall into the tunnelshaped mouth S of the conduit 7 and then by removing the stopper the pieces of the cap can be entirely removed from the conduit. The conduit 7 permits of air entering the neck 2 of the bottle to facilitate in pouring the contents of the bottle.
As indicated, the structure can be made of a vitreous material, as glass, and theprinciple of the invention can be embodied in a jug or other receptacle.
\Vhat I claim is In an antirefillable bottle, a body portion provided with a neck including a thin transparent. breakable closure therefor, a 0011- duit open at each end, integral with the bottom of the body portion and extending into said neck, that portion of the conduit projecting into said neck having a tunnelshaped mouth to receive said cap when broken, the wall of said conduit, intermediate its ends, provided with an annular shoulder, a removable stopper anchored within said conduit by said shoulder, and means to facilitate the removal of said stopper.
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
CHOVANEC LUKAC. Witnesses l\UGUST ToMAJKo, Aoonr T. FILICKY.
