This invention relates to new and useful;
improvements in oil burners and is designed to provide a device of the character described for utilizing kerosene and other similar :fuel and for conveniently and effectively converting the same into gas under the heatthe Vburner itself.
Another object is to provide for taking the gas'from the generator and carrying the same to the burner proper, where combustion takes place, in a simple and efficient manner.
Anotherv object of the invention resides in the provision of a fuel nozzle andaneedle valve for controlling the passage of fuel being so constructed that by its operation it cannot enlarge the nozzle orifice and thereby permit the flow of too much fuel therethrough. V l
With the above and other objects in view, the invention has particular relation to cer- 'tain .novel features, of construction, operation and arrangement of parts, anexample of which is given in this specification and drawings,

Referring now more particularly to the drawings, wherein like numerals of reference designate similar parts in each of the figures, the numeral lrefers to a horizontal cylindrical shell or casing generator of the burner and is provided at its inlet or rear end with a reducer 2 which is screwed tliereover to partially close said end and is provided with a central internally threaded perforation 3.
The numeral 4 refers to a conical shaped nozzle, the enlarged end of which is externally threaded and screwed into the inner end of the perforation 3 and the inner en of which projects into the generator 1. In the operation of the device, oil is admitted to the 'interior of the generator 1 through the nozzle 4, said oil collecting in thev generator 1. Heat is then 'applied to the generator in any preferred manner, so as to convert the oil into gas, which will pass through the bushing 15 and the L 16 to the burner 17 and-through the perforations 19 numeral lvrefersto an L, one end of I thereof where it may be ignited by means of a match or votherwise soas to emit flames y d which strike the generator so as to maintain said generator in `a heated condition to continue the formation of gas.
