NORMAN HUBBARD, 0F ELIZABETH, NEW" JERSEY..
To all whomz'z may concern Be it known that l, NORMAN HUBARD, a citizen of the United States, residing at Elizabeth, in the county of Union and State of New Jersey, have invented certain new and useful improvements in Bottle-Holders, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part hereof.
My invention relates particularly to improvements in holders for nursing'bottles, my principal object being to provide a de- .vice which is collapsible when not. in use.
In the drawings, Figure l is a perspective view of a device embodying the invention, ready for use. Fig. 2 shows the device folded or collapsed. Figs. 3 and 4 are detail views, partly in section, aof a joint between the base and upright piece of the device, and, Fig. 5 is a perspective View of one form of bottle sling that may be used. y
A wire base a in Figs. 1 and 2, having its ends upturned to form cooperating jaws united by two pins or rivets f and gfsupports an extensible hollowupright member Z). A slotted and recessed tail-piece c comprises the lower end of the upright and forms a joint with the coperating jaws of the base a, thus making it possible to fold the device when not in use. In the tail-piece c the slot embraces the pin f and when the device is in position for use the recess straddles the pin g (Figs. 1 and 3). An arm, as c, and a sling Z serve as adjustable means for suspend-ing a bottle from the upright b, the arm being L-shaped and its lower end being rotatable and extendible in the up` right wherein it may be secured in its adjusted osition by a wing nut h. The sling is preferably formed of a single piece of wire which is adapted to hold the bottle at This wire is bent so as to form aloop for the body of the bottle and a hook to engage the neck thereof, the hook Specification of petters Patent.

being adapted to be sprung around the neck so as to engage it iirmly and resiliently.
l claim as my invention:
1. In a bottle holding device the combination of a iatvhorizontal base formed of wire having the ends approaching and bent upward, a standard having a lower member hinged between the bent-up ends of the base forming wire, means for holding the stand-` ard in normal upright position, the standard comprising telescoping members, the upper one of'which is bent laterally, and means provided at the end of the last mentioned member for holding aV bottle, the standard being constructed so that the bent member can be swung angularly relative to the hinged member and so that when the members are in telescoped or closed position the standard can be swung downwardly whereby the base and the standard can lie in substantially the same plane.
2. In a bottle holding device the combi nat-ion of a flat horizontal base formed of wire having approaching ends, a 'standard'l having a lower member hinged to said ends, means for holding the standard in normal upright position, the standard comp-rising telescoping members, the upper one of which is bent laterally and means provided at the end of the" last mentioned member for holding a bottle, the standard being constructed so that the bent 4member can be vswung angularly relative to the hinged member and so that when the members are in telescoped or closed position the standard `can be swung downwardly whereby the base and the standard can lie insubstantially the same plane.
This specification signed and witnessed this lOth day of December, A. D., 1909.
. Y NORMAN HUBBARD. Signed in the presence 01"- LUoIUs E. VARNEY, JOHN W. THOMPSON.
