To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ROBE P. BROWN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain Improvements in Garment-Forms, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to improved means for holding folded garments that are to be wrapped or boxed and'shipped or stored, and its primary object is to maintain such garments in the desired'folded condition so that they shall not become creased or rum'- paratively stiff card or paper board, comprises the body part 1 having the neck 2, the laterally extending arms 3, and the T 4, the latter being hinged to the body on the creased line 4 and separated therefrom on the through lines 4*, 4, 4 and 4 The T is provided with the creases 4, in line with the through cuts 4*, and with the crease 4 extending transversely to and intersecting the creases 4. Consequently the T can be brought to the position shown in Figs. '2 and 3, in which the sections 4 and 4 are fixed to the body by the part 4 and held at right angles thereto, the crown 4' engaging the neck 2 and the wings 4" resting upon the body 1.

As shown in Fig. 3, a coat is folded upon this form, with the body 1 lying within the body 5 of the coat, the arms 3 lying within the armholes 6 of the coat, and the erected members 4' and 4" disposed within the collar 7 of the coat, which holds these parts in position and is in turn held'in position thereby. The vest 8 and trousers 9 may now be laid upon the form within the coat and the free sides 10 of the latter drawn together thereover, after which the arms 11 of the coat are folded thereon. The garments thus folded and supported may be placed in a box 12 and stored or shipped without the usual creasing and rumpling thereof.

An eyelet 13 adjacent the neck 2 provides convenient means for attaching a loop 14 for handling or supporting a form with a garment thereon.

As shown in Fig. 4, the part 4 may be separated from the body 1, the detached part 4 being held under the body while the parts 4 and 4 are held transversely thereto by the coat when folded thereon.

Having described my invention, I claim:

1. A garment form comprising a body, a

part movable relatively to said body and adapted to bea'ragainst the same, and collar supporting means having a member connected in hinged relation to said movable part and adapted to be turned at right anglcsto said body and movable part, said member having wings hinged thereto.

2. A garment form comprising a bodywith parts thereon conforming to the neck and arm-holes of a coat, and a T cut from and hinged to said body, said T having parts hinged so as to stand transversely to I said body and hold a coat collar in position. 3. A garment form comprising a body, a movable part cut from said body and hinged thereto, and collar supporting means having a member hinged to said movable part and disposed transversely thereto and to said body, said member having wings hinged thereto.
