H.` LANPHEAR, of Atchison, in thej count-yy of Atchison, and State of t Kansas, have invented certain new. andhnseful Imf proveinents in Chimney Attachments; and: I do hereby declare that the following is a full,V clear, and exact description thereof, reference boing had to erence marked thereon, which form a part-'of this speccation. i

Ifhe nature of my inventionconsists in the construction and arrangement ofj a self-closing chimney-flue and ash-cleaner, as willbe hereinafter fully'set forth. `In order to enableothcrssklled in the art to which `in vinvention appertains to` make and use the same, I t will now proceed to describe its construction and operat tion', referring to the annexed drawing, in whicht Figure l is a front view, and t ,t Figure 2 is a transverse vertical section.
