IMPROVEMENT IN CARD-RACKS.

The Schedule referred tol in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.

To allwhom 'it may concern Be it known that I, WASHINGTON WENDELL, of

the city and county -of Milwaukee and State of Wis- Nature and Object of my Invention.

' The. nature and object of' my invention are to hold photographs, and cards, and other things, in aY oon -spieuons manner, and cheaply'and easily arranged.

A is the frame, to which are attac-hed wires or strings running from top to bottom. v y y B, wires or strings ruiming from top to bottom of the frame.

C are holders attached to-tlie wires or strings, with their ends turned' over, to hold photographs, or any similar things, steadily.

D, holders, the lower edge turned up, to hold-the bottom of the lower card' on the outside, andthe top ot' the card is held by the holder slipping 011 over it.

E, holders, on

a single wire or string, to-hold cards.

F, slots punched in the holders for theA wires o r strings to pass through, and which hold the holders firmly in place, and permit them to slidev np and down on the wires or strings.

G, cards held in position .by the holders.

. Operation.

If for photographs, place one of the holders, O, at.

the bottom of the frame, and put the lower edge ot' a photograph `into the holderfthen slide a holder down on the top of the photograph, and it will be held in position. Then pnt another above, and so on.

To fasten-cards, put onev ot' the holders, D, at the bottom of the .fi-ame, and put the lower edge of aV cardinthe turned up part of the holder,and then slde'a holder down on the card, and ,then pnt another' `on the tbp, andi-soon.V

The holders E will hold eards -in the same way, but

they can be turned round back side without remov-v ing them.'

Claim.

1 claim as my invention- Acard-rack, composed of frame A, strings or wires B, holders D, and slots` F in them, 'substantially as described. Y Y
