S E S S E H W UNTTED STATE PATENT @FFTCE.
FILIP NOSEK AND FRANK GORSCI-IEK, OF NOKOMIS, ILLINOIS.
CARRIER.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that we, FILIP NOSEK and FRANK GORSCHEK, subjects of the Emperor of AustriaHungary, residing at Nokomis, in the county of Montgomery and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Carriers, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.
This invention relates to a carrier, and the primary object of our invention is to provide a novel device that can be advantageously used for easily carrying packages, bundles and other parcels.
A further object of this invention is to provide a simple, durable and inexpensive carrier consisting of comparatively few parts that can be easily placed around a bundle or parcel and adjusted to firmly hold the same.
With the above and other objects in view the invention resides in the novel construction, combination and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter specifically described and then claimed.
Reference will now be had to the drawing, wherein Figure 1 is a perspective view of the carrier, and Fig. 2 is a cross sectional view of the same.
A carrier in accordance with this invention comprises transverse end bars 1 and an intermediate transverse bar 2, said bars being connected by a central longitudinal bar 3. The ends of the bars 1 are provided with depending guides 41 for the passage of the straps 5, said straps having ends thereof slotted, as at 6 to receive heads 7 carried by the opposite ends of said straps. By arranging the guides 4 at the ends of the transverse bars 1, the straps 5 pass below said bars 1 and are supported at each end of the bars.
The intermediate bar 2 has the ends thereof provided with outwardly extending guides 8 for a strap 9 that passes over said bar. The strap 9 has the ends thereof connected, as at 10 similar to the ends of the Specification of Letters Patent.
Application filed March 29, 1913.

Serial No. 757,538.
straps 5. The straps 5 and 9 are connected by longitudinal side straps 11 and a longitudinal bottom strap 12. These straps having the ends thereof provided with cases 13 to receive the straps 5 and intermediate the ends of the longitudinal straps are loops 14: to receive the strap 9.
The longitudinal bar 3 is provided with an ordinary bail or handle 15, whereby a package or bundle within the carrier can be easily carried.
The bars 1, 2 and 3 can be made of light and durable wood, the guides of metal and the straps of leather or other suitable material.
One embodiment of the invention has been illustrated but it is to be understood that the structural elements are susceptible to such variations and modifications as fall within the scope of the appended claim.
What we claim is A parcel carrier comprising transverse end bars, a transverse intermediate bar, a longitudinal bar connecting said transverse bars, depending guides carried by said end transverse bars, outwardly extending guides carried by said intermediate transverse bar, straps arranged in the guides of said end transverse bars and extending under said bars and having the ends thereof detachably connected together, a strap extending through the guides of said intermediate transverse bar and over said bar and having the ends thereof detachably connected together, longitudinal side straps connecting said transverse straps, a longitudinal bottom strap connecting said transverse straps, and a handle carried by said longitudinal bar.
In testimony whereof we affix our signatures in the presence of two witnesses.
his FILIP NOSEK.
