It isin construct-ion of the valve A' that my im-V provements consist particularly, the faucet consisting of the ordinary casting B, with a/quick-threaded stein-C, the valve shutting :down upon the valveseat D.
` 'Ihe construction of this valve is as follows:
The packing consistsof a rubber plug or cushion, E, cylindrical iii form, and `having a Hat face at the xixcttom of suicient width to completely cover the valve-seat orifice F.
This rubber v.piece screws into the middle piece'Grof the valve, which has a screw-socket, H, cui: int-o its lower portion for the reception of the plug.
This piece G has at the top another screw-socket,
into which screws a cap, I, which connects the stem of the -fancet with the valve by this means, the cap I having a hole through it, through which the stem C passes, the latter having a head, K, on its lower end.

` In this manner I forma simple and 'easilyeconstructed valve, perfect iu its operation, and easilytaken o or adjusted, as it is only necessary to unscrew the cap I or to screw it in in order to detach or attach the stem and valve.
