Be it known that I, GonNELloUs SULL1vAN,.of Boston, in the county ot Suffolk and State of Massachusetts, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Fancet-0ouplings, of which the following is a complete specicat-ion.

Nature mul Objects of the Invention. The nature and'object of my invent-ion consist in anew construction and arrangement of the several` General Description; I construct my invention as follows: B represents a part of the barrel-head, which is` permanently attached, by any 'suitable means, to the s flanged thimble A; Y C C1 is along tube, having an external and internal screw cut upon and in it, as shown, and is screwed into the tbimble A, as represented.

The Use of my Invention?. The part A may be permanently attached to the barrel. f
The parts Ol C1, D, E,'and O2, when desirable to fill or rinse the barrel, are removed. As soon as tbe barrel is refilled the part C' C is screwed in, thus closing t-lc orifice completely the valve D being held against the seat by Athespring E.
When desirable to insert the faucet it is only necessary to screw it iu as it enters it will press back the valve D and thus allow communication between the contents of the barrel and the cock H;
I claim as my inventionlhe combination of thc permanent thimble A, the removable tube C G1, and the spring-valve D, with the extension K of the cock H, substantially as described, and for the purpose set forth.
