IMPRO Move-Pipe ELF.

i To all whom it 'may concern i KBe it `known Athat I, ROBERT B. Gon'roN, of Niantic, in the county of New Londonand State of Connecticut, have invented a newand improved Stove-pipe Shelf; and I'do hereby declare `"that the following is fa i'nll, clear-,and exact description thereof, reference y `being had to the accompanying drawing and to the letters of reference marked thereon. l

i two principal parts, they being secured together, when desired, by a hook acting through two inclined slots on one side, and on the other by tw'o bars having a series of teeth, which gear together at diierent degrecs, as will be more fully described and set forth in y l i the following specification and claim.

O C are knees or brackets, which are cast or othcrwise secured `to the shelves, to serve as supports for the same against the stove-pipe.

At their front ends the shelves have corrugated bars, D D', and slots, d el', the slot d having a recess at its inner terminus, through which an open hook may be introduced.

E is an open hook, which may be` movedover the extent of the inclined corrugated bars D D', their o'ice being tc tighten the shelves upon the stove-pipe when desired.

The shelf can be turned to one side of the stove- 'pipe when desired'.

1t being of the form shown, the requisite width can be had over the stove, Aand yet be secured to a pipe standing very near the wall.

Having thus described my invention,

What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
