exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

This invention relates to neck tie forms and has for an object to provide an extremely simple and inexpensive necktie form which will have novel attaching means for adjustably securing the neck tie high'or low in the neck tie space of a'collar.

With the above objects in View the invention consists of the novel details of construction and combination of parts hereinafter fully described and claimed, it being understood that various modifications may be madewithin the scope of the appended claims.

In the accompanying drawing forming part of this specification, Figure 1 is a front elevation of my invention applied. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal sectional view taken on the line 2 2 Fig. 1 with the tie removed. Fig.

3 is a view similar to Fig. 2 with the form in position to dispose the tie high in the tie space of the collar. Fig. 4 is a detail per- -speotive View of the tie form.

Referring now to the drawing in which like characters of reference designate similar parts. 10 designates a collar and 11 an ordinary neck tie tied in a four in hand knot on my improved neck tie form 12.

The neck tie formcomprising the subject matter of this invention consists of a single substantially T shaped blank of material formed preferably of that kind of fabric used in the manufacture of collars. cuffs, and the like. but may be formed of any desired material of suitable stifl'ness.

For adjustably securing the tie form high or low in the neck tie space of the collar. there are two pairs of openings 13 and l t formed in the shank 15 of. the form. A single inverted U shaped wire pin 16 of about the size and stiffness of an ordinary uncrimped hair pin is passed downwardly through both pairs of openings with both ends extending along the rear face, and the intermediate portion extending along the front face of the form shank. o

The neck tie is knotted on the form in the usual and well known manner and exposes the bight of the pin 16 on the rear face of the form. To attach the neck tie the bight of the pin is hooked over the collar button 17. Should it be desired to wear the tie low in the tie space as shown in Fig. 1 the pin is pushed bodily upward and disposes the head 18 of the tie form upon the collar button as shown in Fig. 2. Should it be desired to wear the tie high in the tie s ace the pin is pulled bodily downward an disposes the head of the form considerably above the collar button as shown in Fig. 3.

In any particular adjusted position of the pin the bight 19 in the shank of the form made by inserting the pin through the openings, causes the edges of the openings to frictionally engage the pin and maintain the same against accidental movement.

What is claimed is:

1. A neck tie form comprising a substantially T shaped blank of material, and a pin adapted to engage a collar button and adjustably passed longitudinallv' through spaced openings in the shank of said blank with a resultant bight in said shank causing the edges of said openings to frictionallv engage and hold said pin in adjusted positions.

2. A neck tie form comprising'a substantially T shaped blank of material. and an inverted U shaped pin adapted to hook over a collar button and adjustablv passed longitudinally through spaced openings in the shank of said blank with a resultant bight in said shank holding said pin in adjusted positions.
