IMPROVED WASH-BOILER.
The Scirledule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
I, HARRISON YOST, of Dayton, inthe county of vMontgomeryand State of Ohio, have invented certain Improvements in \Vash-Boilers, of which the following 1s a specification. K
My invention relates to the construction of a washhoiler, quadraugular inform, with an interior compaltv ment for the clothes extending longitudinally the eu tire length of the boiler.
The figure represents an end elevation with a portion cut awayto show the interior compartment.
A represents a quadrangular vessel, which may be constructed of any suitable material. y
Handles are attached, as usual, and the usual 'form of cover, C, is used.
, Tivo partitions, B, extend from one end to the other,
and aresoldered to theeuds. These partitions are with water to about the heightof the dotted lines, and then put the .clothes within theinterior compartment. A brisk tire will then cause the suds to` jet out over the clothes from between the ou'ter Walls and the partitions', and as'the snds settles down passing through the perforated bottom to be carried upward again and thus av rapid continuous action `is produced which is effective as a means of washing clothes.

is that ithe action of the suds is alike upon all the clothes.
I would .not he understood as confining my invention to the precise form shown, as the outer walls may be constructed vertically and the partit-ions have anl oblique position, to 'secure `a narrow throat for the issue ofthe suds, and the hinges of the lperforated plate may be dispensed with.
