'10 vention is to provide a Wrench having one l of its ends'formed with a head block ory frame which is so arranged as tosupport and guide a pair of movable jaws, said jaws having actuating mechanism whereby each of the said jaws are simultaneously drawn toward each other or sdeparated a's desired.
W'ith the above objects in view, and others which will appear as the nature of the invention progresses,` the improvement resides in the novel construction and arrangement of parts hereinafter fully described and claimed. f

#he improved wrench comprises a rod 1 having itsupper extremity formed with an /Qf-set portion 2, the said rod 1 and off-set lforming the handle for the wrench. This /hndle may be either integrally 'connected with a head or frame or may be removably "secured thereto as desired. The. upper longitudinal member 6 is preferably formed with an upstanding yoke 9, said yoke having a suitable opening which alines with a similar opening in the member 6. Both of these openings are angular and are adapted to receive the angular extension of the rod 1. As heretofore stated, the rod may be integrally formed with the frame if desired or may be ot' a construction as above described.
The side members 4 terminatev approximately central ofthe lower longitudinal connecting member 5, as clearly illustrated in the figures of the drawings, and the said side .members are, each prmv'idedwith suitable registering depressions which are adaptn ed to receive the ends of :i screw l0. This screw l0 is provided with a milled head 1'1, the same being of a circular formation, and, as illustrated in Figs. 1, 4, 5 and (l of the drawings, is arranged centrally of the screw l0. The portions of the screw extending from the opposite sides of the milled head 11 have. their teeth arranged at an opposite pitch, the purpose of which will jnesentlyy be set forth. I

In Fig. 7 the frame 2O is orovidedwith a transverse bar 21, the same eing connected to the side members of the said frame and arranged'a distance below the top connecting member thereof. Eioth'the heads of te jaws 26 and 27 as well as the upper ends thereof lie dialso preferably rectly beneaththe.longitudinal bars ofthe frame, so that when the said-"awe are engaged with a nut, -bolt or the li te, the pressure upon the screw is effectively relieved.

Having thus described the inventiomwhat I claim is i Awrench comprising a substantially `re`ctangular frame, a pair of jaw members slidably mounted within said frame and adapted for engagement with each other', adjustable means for separating and closing said members, a shoulder formed on each jaw member, and a pair of shoulders formed onsaid frame and adapted for engagement with the shoulders on-the separation thereof to reverse the same.
