f This invention relatesto s'uspendersv of novel construction which possess a high degree of elasticity, even with inelastic Lshoulder straps or with shoulder straps that have becomestretched by wear. A

he Suspenders may be readily assembled or dismembered and may be secured to or other fastening means.

The tabs 10 which-gareadapted to be attached to the trousers pass through an `oblong eye 11 seated within an u'pper fold 12 of the tab 13, which is adapted to beattached to thedrawers. A flap 14 on the upper widened end13 of tab '13 is provided with a hook or similar fastening member 1.5 adapted to engage an eye 16 on the body of the tab. By openingy this hook and lowering the flap, eye 11 carrying'tabs 10 may be readily removed or applied. In addition to fold 12, tab 13 is rovided with a second upper fold 17 that accommodates thelower -bar 18a of an elongated .wire bail 18. Thel two parallel Shanks and the upper bow of .this bail am encircled by a continuous spiral "compassed by spring 19, below which the Shanks are ena vertically movable slide or 'cross head 20. This slide is seated within 'the lower fold of a doubled or'cndless strap the upper fold of which accommodates the lower bar of asubstantially S- shaped couplingmember 22. Tabs 10, 13 are encircledy by a pair of metal bands 30, 31, of 'which band .3l is with a hook 32 By this construction, the tabs may be secured button holes as Well as 'linut-,ons and as the hooks 32 are formed on the inner sides of the tabs, they `will be entirely invisible and will not be apt to come into contact with the hand of the wearer.

I claim:

Ina suspender, a Ldrawer-tab lhaving a permanentvfold and an 'openable fold, fastening 'ineaiis for the last named fold, a trouser-tab removably' supported fold, a. shoulder strap, and means engaged oy the permanentI fold for yieldingly connecting the 'drawer-tab to said strap.
