This invention relates to, and is an improvement in that class of undergarments for women which are designedto protect. thedouter clothing during the catamenial per1o The obj ect of this invention is to provide a sanitary protecting skirt, which shall be simple in construction and design, can be more cheaply than any article now manufactured or sold for the same purpose, and can be readily changed or renewed by attaching new "or clean aprons thereto, without removal of the skirt from the wearer. This object is accomplished by means of the new article of manufacture, hereinafter described and claimed, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which are hereby referred to, and which form a part of these specifications.
' The said new article of manufacture consists of an ordinary underskirt of permeable material, with an opening in therear or back port-ion, to which is attached an apron of impermeable material, which apron can be removed, and another similar apron substituted therefor, without requiring the skirt to be removed from the wearer.

We therefore claim as following An improved sanitary protecting skirt composed of two pieces only, one of said pieces being substantially rhomboidal as described, and adapted to be removed without the removal of the skirt from the wearer.
