,Be it known that I, Helms M. PAINE, o1' the citij 'of Newark, a new and useful Electro-Muguet; nud I do hereby declare that the following is zt full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying.r drawing, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.

The nnt'ur'e of my invention consists in constructing the legs of themngnet in the form of n sector, (A, Figure 1.) and connecting the same by menus of n,ticbolt, (B, Figure 2.) A

To obtatintthe best results the nrc should subtend nu angle of about thirty-five degrees, and the longestaxis of the leg one-fourth in excess of the chord of the nrc. Whatever number of wire mov be employed in 1n tiieStnte of New Jersey, naive invent-ed Clothing the legs, or wlizttsoefer number of 4coils may be used, the tie-bolt B should be adjusted so as to closely compress the coils-together, in order to ont-mn tue full vnlue of the muguet, for, if they be separated, we loose the inductive vn'lue of their opposite currents.
