IMPROVE!) COTTON-BALB FASTENING.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all 'whom 'it may concern Be it known that I, MATTHEW TILDESLEY, of Willenhall, in the county of Stafford, England, manufacturer, a subject under the Crown of Great Britain, have invented 'ilniprgveinents in Ties, Clips, or Fastenings for Connecting the Bands Employed in Securing Baies of Cotton, Wool, andother products capable of being packed in a similar manner; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact -description of my said invention; that is to say- This invention refers to ties, clips, or fastenings, constructed in two counterpart recessed, sunken, and slotted parts or halves, which slide and accurately fit in and upon each other, when the ends of the bands are connected thereby, and which are made of such pecu-A liar formas that each half may be used singly as a tie for the purposes named. s

Having thus described my invention,
I claim as new, .and desire to secure by Letters Patenty The double tie, clip, or fastening, obtained bythe combination-of the two parts a a,'when constructed and applied to each other, andv to the surrounding band, as herein described.
