To all whom t may concern Beit known that citizen of the United States, residing'at St. have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Scarfs, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, such as will enable others skilled to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being Ihad to the accompanying drawings, forming part' of this specification, in Which-i Figure 1 is` a detailed view of my improved scarf.V Fig.. 2 is a sectional viewon line 2-2, Fig. l. This -invention rel tes to a new and useful improvement in-scar s, or necktiesuasv they are commonly called, the object being to construct a scarf so that it will slide freely and easily through aturndown or foldedl collar. VIn the drawings, l indicates the scarf which may be of any design or pattern, and preferably made of the same kind of material throughout its length. In the back of the neck portion of the scarf, there is an opening 2, preferably four or ive inches long to enable ready adjustment of the tie, said opening being linished by button-hole stitching o r any desired form of stitching 3. If desired to reinforce the tie atk this point, crinoline or 1 other 'stiffening or reinforcing material 4: may be employed as shown in Fig. 2. f

Having thus described my invention, what f I claim is:
