EDGAR P. FOX, OF GREELEY, COLORADO;
MOLD FOR TANKS.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, EDGAR P. Fox, a citizen of the United States, residing at Greeley, in the county of lVeld and State of Colorado, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Molds for Tanks; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
This invention relates to new and useful improvements in molds for casting stock Water tanks and comprises a simple and efficient apparatus of this nature having various details of construction and combinations and arrangements of parts which will be hereinafter fully described and then specifically defined in the appended claim.
I illustrate my invention in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a vertical sectional view through a mold made in accordance with my invention. Fig. 2 is a sectional view on line 2-2 of Fig. 1.. Fig. 3 is a detail perspective view of a part of the outer shell of the mold, and Fig. 4c is a detail perspective view of a portion of the inner shell.
Reference now being had to the details of the drawings by letter, A, A designate sections of the outer shell of the mold, the upper edge of which is slitted as at B forming a series of wings D, each of which is provided with elongated slots E adapted to receive bolts F which pass through registering apertures in overlapping wings, as shown clearly in Fig. 3 of the drawings, and nuts upon the bolts cooperate with the heads of the bolts to hold the overlapping wings in adjusted positions.
The various sections making up the outer shell of the mold are held together by means of bolts K passing through the slots as shown in Fig. 2 of the drawings and form means .whereby the sections may be adjusted to Specification of Letters Patent.

form tanks of different sizes. A band H is passed about the sections of the outer shell and is held in adjusted positions by means of the bolts F which pass through the elongated slots I, thus securely reinforcing the outer shell.
The inner shell, a section of which is designated by letter N and shown in Fig. 4 of the drawings, is similar in construction to the sections of the outer shell excepting that the slits i in each section N is formed in the lower edge and forming wings, each of which is provided with an elongated slot O, adapted for the reception of a bolt J and each section N is provided with elongated slots N forming means for the reception of the bolts Q which pass through registering slots in the overlapping sections. These sections are embraced by a band R provided at its free end with elongated slots R adapted to be adjusted to reinforce the section and secured together by any suitable bolt or fastening.
vBy the provision of a mold apparatus as shown and described, it will be noted that a simple and efficient means is afforded whereby watering tanks of different sizes may be easily and quickly formed, the inner side of which will be concaved while the outer surface of the wall will be convexed and one which may be made of various sizes.
The novel features of the tank construction are not claimed herein but will be presented in a separate divisional application.
WVhat I claim to be new is A mold apparatus for tanks comprising inner and outer sectional shells flaring in opposite directions, forming a tapering space intermediate the same, the sections of the inner shells having slits in the ends thereof forming a series of overlapping wings having slot-s therein, fastening means passing through registering slots within said overlapping wings and forming means for adjusting the lower contracted end of the inner shell, an adjustable band mounted about the lower contracted end of the inner shell, the upper portions of the sections of the inner shell adapted to overlap and In testimony whereof I hereunto affix my provided with elongated slots, bolts passing signature in the presence of two Witnesses. through the latter, the upper ends of the sections of the outer shell being slotted and EDGAR overlapping, and a slotted band adjustably lVitnesses:
held about the upper ends of the sections of HERMAN BAAB, the outer band, as set forth. OSCAR LEAFGREEN.
