The object of the present invention is to produce a type bur joint of strong and simple construction and which will permit the type bar to more with very little friction.

Referring to the drawing, '1 indicates a type bar and 2 a. type bar hunger. The type bar illustrated is adapted for in connection with a front strike typewriter, but in; invention is adapted for use in my type of machine. The type bur bearing illustrated in Figs. 1 to 4i comprises e polygonal block 3 having its angles or corners roundecl, us at 4, end having a cent-rel perforation through which a screw 5 passes to'cluinp the block to the hanger.
