To all whom it may concern: I

Be it known that I, ANDREW A. KRAMER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Kansas City, in the county of Wyandotte' and State of Kansas, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Outdoor Toilets; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.

My invention relates to outdoor toilets and has for its object to provide a toilet structure which is simple and economical in construction and is thoroughly sanitary.

Itis a further object of my invention to provide the improved details of structure hereinafter described and pointed out in the claims, reference being had to the acco'mpanying drawings, in which Figure is a perspective view of a toilet structure, constructed according to my invention, a part of the housing being broken away to illustrate the interior structure and arrangement. Fig. II is a 'vertical section of one of the stools and a portion of the housing and floor. Fig. III is an enlarged section of the'upper part of the stool. Fig. IV is an enlarged section of the lower portion of the the floor.

Referring more in detail to the parts. 1 designates the housing of the structure, which is preferably constructed from a single piece of sheet metal and rounded as shown in Fi' I., Covering the housing is a roof 2, having a ventilating cap 3. In the, bottom of the housing is a flooring 4, having one or more stool apertures, and in the side is an opening 5, within which is hinged a door, 6.

The floor is preferably constructed of Wood, having upper and lower coverings of sheet metal, in' order to provide a substantial support of sufficient thiclmess to enable it to be firmly fixed .in osition.

7 designates a stool whic is preferably stool, showing its attachment to cylindrical in shape and formed of sheet metal, the cylinder being of'such diameter that its lower end will fit snugly within the opening provided therefor in the floor 4.

The lower end of the stool is preferably projected through the aperture and turned to form a flange 8 which may be secured to the floor by bolts 9, in order to fasten the stool firmly in position. The stool is provided with a head 10 that seats on the floor 4 and serves as a support At its upper end, the stool is provided with a flange 11 upon which a'rounded seat 12 may rest; the seat being preferably secured permanently to the flange by the rivets 13.

Secured to the rear side of the stool is a back rest 14, which extends aboye the seat 12 and is braced by a bracket 15 that is attached to the housing 1. Set into the ground, below housing 1, is a tank 16, which is preferably formed of corrugated sheet metal and provided with an out turned flange 17 at its upper edge. Fixed to flange 17 is an angle iron 18, one member of which extends upwardly in line with the interior of the tank to form a keeper for the lower end of the housing 1, which is adapted to seaton the horizontal member and is preferably riveted to the upper member to form an integral structure. Extending through the floor 4 and roof 2 is a vent pipe 19.

It is apparent that the structure may be shipped in separate pieces. and set up in a desired. position, as the parts are easily assembled.

A toilet structure comprising a housing, having a suitable floor, a sheet metal stool extending through said floor, said stool having a flange on its lower end extending beneath the floor and riveted thereto, a bead extended over and seated on said floor to support the stool, a flange on the upper edge of the stool, and a seat securedto said flange, substantiallyv as set forth.

2. A toilet structure comprising a housing, having a suitable floor,- a stool,= a seat' on said stool, a back rest rigidly secured to said stool below the seat and extended thereabove, and a bracket connecting the back rest with the housing and spacing same therefrom, for the purpose set forth. 10-
