To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, IVILLIAM SNYDER, a citizen of the United States, residing at C0- lumbus, in the county of Yellowstone and State of Montana, have invented new and useful Improvements in Nose-Bag Supports, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to nose bag supports and the object of the invention is the provision of a simple, cheaply constructed and durable device which may be readily mounted in position upon an animal to support the nose bag and which may be knocked down so as to occupy small space for transportation.

Further objects of the invention will appear as the following specific description is read in connection with the accompanying drawing, which forms a part of this application, and in which Figure 1 is a top plan view of the device. Fig. 2 s a side elevation of the same showing the device applied. Fig. 3 is a detail plan view of the parts shown in folded prsition with the supporting ropes or cables removed and with the connecting tube omitted.

Referring more particularly to the draw ing, 1 represents a pair of hames which are provided with the usual trace connectors 2.. The nose bag support comprises a pair of pivoted members 3 which have laterally extending terminal ends 4 lying over one ancther and in parallelism when the members are spread to bag supporting posit-ion. The outer ends of these members are provided with suitable hooks 5 or other suitable type of fastening devices by which a nose bag may be properly supported. The terminal ends or fingers 4, when in alinement, are placed in the end of a connecting tube 6 whose opposite end receives the laterally extending fingers 7 of the hame connector 8 which comprises two oppositely extending arms 9 having snap hooks or other suitable devices 10 at their ends for mounting the device upon the trace connection, or any other suitable point of the hames.

Secured to the intermediate portion of the members 3, by means of snap hooks or any other suitable fastening devices, are ropes or cables 11 having their outer or free ends provided with rings 12 to come over Copies of this patent may be obtained to the top of the hames. These cords or cables may pass through turrets upon the bridle or may run directly to the top of the hames, as is found desirable.

When the device is not in use the terminal ends 1 of the bag supporting arms 3 are removed from the tube 6 and folded, as shown, and the terminal ends 7 of the connecting arms 9 are removed from the tube 6 and folded as shown. The cables 11 may be disconnected from the arms 3 or left connected thereto, as the operator desires.

Having thus described the invention, what I claim as new is:-

1. In combinationga pair of hames and a nose bag supporter comprising a pair 0 collapsible supporting members, a pair of collapsible hame connectors, a connection between the supporting members and the hame ccnnectors to prevent their collapsing, and a flexible connection between the bag supporting arms and the hames.

2. In combination, a pair of hames, a pair of pivoted arms, means for connecting the same to the lower part of the hames, a second pair of pivoted arms, bag supporting hooks thereon, means connecting said pairs of arms for spacing the'last-named arms from the hames, and for preventing said pairsof arms from collapsing, and a flexible connection between the bag supporting arms and the upper part of the hames.

3. In combination, a pair of hames, a pair of pivoted arms, hooks thereon for connecting the same to the lower part of the hames,

lateral extensions on said arms adapted to aline, when the arms are extended, a pair of bag supporting arms having hooks to support the nose bag, lateral extensions upon said arms adapted to aline, when the arms are in bag supporting position, a tube adapted to space said pairs of arms apart and to receive the lateral extensions thereon when said extensions are in alinement, and cables extending from said bag supporting arms and having means to removably engage the top of the hames.
