Abstract
A method for predicting fracture healing comprises clinical examination, radiography. The method further provides for detection of genetic polymorphism of nitric oxide synthase (eNOS T 786), and measurement of C-reactive protein (CRP), pyridinoline concentration; the fracture healing may be predicted if homozygous carrier status of 786-TT is revealed and the level of CRP is 1.7-5.2 mg/l and that of pyridinoline is 4.5-6.5 ng/ml.
