Abstract
A method for cultivating the calanoid copepods Arctodiaptomus salinus (Daday), including obtaining mature adult individuals from natural environment, keeping in a disinfecting solution, adapting to the cultivation conditions, preparing the adult individuals for mass obtaining of eggs and obtaining age cohorts with the adaptation of the adult individuals carried out over a day, the first generation of copepods is obtained and cultivated in sterilized sea water at a temperature of 21±1.5 °C, adding the microalga Dinophyceae: Prorocentrum cordatum, Prorocentrum micans; Prymnesiophyceae: Isochrysis galbana. In doing so the concentration of meal is maintained at the level of 5·1010cells/ml, and in 23 days – mass obtaining of eggs is carried out from mature adult females in the course of 51-58 days; and each of the following cultivations of the calanoid copepods takes place at day-night artificial lighting, fully replacing the cultural medium each 2-3 days in the course of cultivation term.
