Abstract
A method of treating dogs with purulent wounds involves conducting primary surgical treatment of wounds, washing them with solutions of 3% hydrogen peroxide and chlorhexidine, as well as the imposition of transient sutures. Oral acid is fed orally once a day and levomecol ointment is administered through passive drainage.
Description
A useful model belongs to the field of veterinary medicine, in particular to veterinary surgery, and can be used in the treatment of dogs with purulent wounds.
The basis of successful treatment of purulent wounds is a mandatory traditional technique, which includes revision and surgical treatment of wounds (Tamm T.I. Local treatment of anazrobnoi infection of soft tissues / T.I. Tamm // Clinical surgery. - 1996. - Me 5. - P. 5-7), washing the wound cavity with antiseptic solutions and drainage (Khaneev V.V. Hemostasis and its correction in case of surgical infection in dogs: autoref. thesis for obtaining sciences, degree of candidate of veterinary sciences: spec. 16.00.05 "Veterinary Surgery" / VV Khaneev - Bila Tserkva, 2004. - 23 p.). However, for the most part, their common drawback is the one-sidedness of the therapeutic action.
С. - 2004. - С. 16-17).Widespread in the practice of veterinary surgery is the use of antibiotics as means of antimicrobial therapy. But the disadvantage of such drugs is their uncontrolled mass use, due to which strains of microorganisms appear that are resistant to their action. Therefore, antibiotic therapy often does not give the desired medicinal effect (A.S. Vecherkin. Use of amoxiclav and the development of resistant strains of bacteria / A.S. Vecherkin // Veterinaria. - 2004. - Mo 7. - P. 16-17).
For the treatment of purulent wounds in dogs, the use of "Methyluracil with Miramistin" ointment (Darnytsia) with the addition of 1 95 hyaluronic acid and 195 VPK-108 (Trifusol) is justified. The dynamics of biochemical indicators showed that such a combination of drugs has a beneficial effect on the course of reparative processes and the restoration of metabolic processes in the body (V.Y. Izdepskyi. The effect of hyaluronic acid and triphusol on the biochemical parameters of the blood of dogs during the wound process // V.Y. Izdepskyi, G. V. Slyusar / Scientific Bulletin of LNAU - Luhansk, 2011. - Mo 31. - P. 63-67). But the disadvantage of this method is the use of many components, which makes the treatment time-consuming, and this method also requires significant financial costs.
- 2000. - С. 46.).In the practice of veterinary surgery, hypertonic solutions are often used. Basically, it is a hypertonic 10 95 solution of sodium chloride, which is used in the first phase of the wound process, but its short-term effect (up to three hours), which leads to its frequent use, makes the treatment of wounds time-consuming (Khomin N.M. Treatment of accidental infected wounds in dogs / N.M. Khomin // Veterinary Medicine of Ukraine. - 2000. - Mo 2. - P. 46.).
Methods of treatment of purulent wounds using 0.9 95% sodium solution are known in the literature
П. - 181 с.), а також місцеве та внутрішньовенне використання озонованого 0,87 95-го розчину натрію хлориду (ПідборськаFrom the chloride treated with an electromagnetic field of the millimeter range (Gyinku S.P. Treatment of wounds in animals with the use of solutions, treated with de-energization of electromagnetic fields of the millimeter range of nanolevel intensity: dissertation for the acquisition of sciences, degree of candidate of veterinary sciences: 16.00.05 "Veterinary Surgery" / S.P. Ghinku. - Kazan, 2007. - 181 p.), as well as local and intravenous use of ozonized 0.87 95th sodium chloride solution (Pidborska
Р.В. R.V. The use of ozone therapy in dogs with purulent wounds: autoref. thesis for the acquisition of sciences, the degree of candidate. Vet. Sciences: specialist 16.00.05 "Veterinary surgery" / R.V. Pidborska - Bila Tserkva, 2011. - 18 p.). The disadvantages of such methods are that not every institution where animals are treated is equipped with equipment for treating solutions with the energy of electromagnetic fields and ozone. This makes such methods rarely used in the practice of veterinary doctors.
Innovations in the field of veterinary surgery include the use of microelement colloids
Ф.Ad, Si and p in nanocluster form, which stimulate the healing of wounds in animals as a result of reducing the catabolism of connective tissue, intensifying phagocytosis and increasing the content of lysozyme (Petrenko O.F. Elements of nanotechnology in the treatment of animals with wounds / O.F.
Б. О. Petrenko, V.B. Borysevich, A.O. Zhuk // Veterinary medicine of Ukraine. - 2012. - Me 2 (192). - pp. 26-28). The disadvantage of this method is the price of the colloid mixture, the determination of the exact amount of metals in mg/l necessary to obtain a therapeutic effect, the need for a colloid mixture obtained only by a physical method, and long-term wound treatment up to 18.6 days.
2010. -Reasonable appropriate use of erbisol for purulent inflammatory processes in dogs (Haydyuk M.B. Rationale for the use of erbisol for purulent inflammatory processes in dogs / M.B. Hajdyuk, N.M. Khomin // Scientific Bulletin of Vet. Med. - Issue 4 (76) - Bila Tserkva, 2010. -
С. 36-38). This drug has immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, membrane-stabilizing and adaptogenic properties, in addition, erbisol increases the ability of cells and tissues to regenerate and contributes to the normalization of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. But the disadvantage of this treatment is the significant cost of the indicated drug and the long-term duration of treatment, which is an average of 20 days.
Я.The closest analogue in essence to the proposed method is the method (Yaremchuk V.Ya.

The disadvantage of this method of treatment is the unilateral effect of the drug and the absence of any effect on cellular metabolism, the antioxidant system, and the animal's body as a whole.
The basis of the proposed useful model is the task of developing a method of treating purulent wounds in dogs by local application of hydrophilic ointment and oral feeding of succinic acid, which will ensure cleaning of the wound from purulent exudate, reduction of pain reaction, hyperemia, swelling of tissues, reduction of intensity the processes of lipid peroxidation and the level of endotoxicosis, the growth of indicators of the body's antioxidant system.
The task is solved by the fact that in the method of treating dogs with purulent wounds, which includes primary surgical treatment of wounds, washing them with solutions of 3 95% hydrogen peroxide and chlorhexidine, as well as applying provisional sutures, according to a useful model, succinic acid is orally fed one once a day and through passive drainage, "Levomekol" ointment is administered.
The method of treating dogs with purulent wounds is as follows: local anesthesia is applied to the affected area, the wound is revised, necrotic tissues are partially removed, the pockets are dissected, and passive drainage is placed to evacuate the pus.
Local sanitation of the purulent wound is carried out with solutions of Z 96 hydrogen peroxide and chlorhexidine in an equal amount of 200 ml. Provisional sutures are applied followed by drainage. Through passive drainage, "Levomekol" ointment is injected twice a day at a dose of 0.5 ml per 1 cm of the wound surface area.
The duration of drainage depends on the speed of cleaning the wounds from purulent exudate.
Animals are orally fed with succinic acid at a dose of 0.1 g/kg of animal body weight individually for 5 days.
Succinic acid has an adaptogenic, antihypoxic, antioxidant, immunostimulating, neurotropic effect, normalizes the general physiological state of the body, energy metabolism,
Zo stimulates cellular respiration, positively influencing the assimilation of oxygen by cells, accelerates the processes of biosynthesis in conditions of pathologies.
The use of the proposed method of treating purulent wounds in dogs helps to reduce the intensity of lipid peroxidation processes and the level of endotoxicosis, as well as to increase the indicators of the body's antioxidant system, which is confirmed by laboratory blood tests.
The use of succinic acid, which has antioxidant and immunostimulating properties, in the treatment of dogs with purulent wounds makes it possible not to use antimicrobial drugs.
Complete healing of the wound defect occurs on the 8-10th day of treatment.
