Abstract

本發明大體上係關於針對生理壓力及老化的治療性組成物及方法。更具體而言,揭示治療性組成物,其包括免疫調節劑,諸如轉移因子,低分子量部分免疫調節劑及/或轉移因子或低分子量部分免疫調節劑的初乳、卵或任何其他來源之另一低分子量部分;及一或多種適應原養分,同樣揭示向個體投予免疫調節劑及適應原養分以針對個體身體中生理壓力及老化之影響的方法。

免疫調節組分及適應原養分組分可共同針對生理壓力及/或老化之影響中的一或多者。因此,可基於適應原養分針對一或多種類型之生理壓力及/或老化,及/或針對生理壓力及/或老化之影響中一或多者的已知或聲稱的能力選擇組成物中所包括之適應原養分。另外,可調配或定製本發明組成物之成分的相對比例以提供針對生理壓力及/或老化的所要反應。
生理壓力之幾個實例包括伴隨以下之壓力:飲食習慣不良(例如,食用高脂肪及/或高糖食品等)、劇烈運動、工作過於艱苦或有壓力

一或多種免疫調節劑及一或多種適應原養分可彼此結合投予以針對生理壓力及/或老化之影響中之一或多者。可急性(例如,經較短時段給藥一次、兩次或幾次;指定頻率下之高劑量(例如,每4小時、每6小時、每12小時等)直至發炎反應降低至可接受之程度等)、亞急性(例如,經數天給藥等)或經延長之時段以一致方式(例如,每日給藥持續一個月或更長時間等)提供該等投予。伴隨著個體暴露於生理壓力及/或老化,免疫調節劑及適應原養分可控制該等壓力影響中之一或多者或支持健康之老化。在個體經受任何生理壓力及/或老化之後投予時,免疫調節劑及適應原養分可減輕該等壓力影響中之一或多者。

胡椒(黑胡椒)萃取物(果實)(95%胡椒鹼)(2.5mg至500mg;約25mg;約50mg;約75mg;約100mg;約150mg;約250mg;等)。
作為本發明之組成物針對生理壓力及/或老化之影響的潛在療效之實施例,在近期隨機化、安慰劑對照之經線性設計的安全及療效研究中,向成年嚙齒動物投予本發明之組成物,該研究在密蘇里大學由生物醫學科學系(哥倫比亞,密蘇里州)與奧本大學運動學系(奧本,阿拉巴馬州)合作進行。向測試組之各成年嚙齒動物投予人類當量之每天兩(2)份例示性組成物30天,顯示該例示性組成物顯著減少回應典型炎症誘導型西式飲食(高脂肪、高糖)所觀測到之副作用。特定言之,例示性組成物使對西式飲食之發炎反應顯著降低64%(量測為腫瘤壞死因子-α(或TNF-α)之表現)。例示性組成物亦使對細胞蛋白造成之氧化損害減少42%(量測為蛋白羰基濃度)且使負責減少自由基引起之損害的去毒酶增加43%(量測為粒線體超氧化物歧化酶-2,或SOD-2)。與僅攝取健康之低脂肪、低糖之對照飲食相比,例示性組成物加西式飲食產生之發炎反應甚至比前者少57%。例示性組成物加西式飲食使對細胞蛋白之氧化損害顯著減少53%,且相較於僅攝取健康對照飲食之組,其使去毒SOD-2之存在增加超過74%。此外,相較於僅不健康之飲食治療,西式飲食加例示性組成物使中腹(或內臟)脂肪質量之積聚顯著減少6%且身體質量顯著減輕95%。血液化學及肝病理組織學資料亦揭示持續30天的人類當量之每天兩份例示性組成物未呈現不良安全之跡象。
儘管先前之敘述列舉諸多特性,但此等特性不應解釋為限制申請專利範圍中任一者之範疇,而僅解釋為闡明所揭示標的物之成分或特徵的一些具體實例及變化形式。可不背離申請專利範圍中任一者之精神或範疇而設計所揭示標的物之其他具體實例。來自不同實施例之特徵可合併採用。因此,各申請專利範圍之範疇僅由其明語及其法定等效物限制。
Claims (20)
- 一種膳食補充劑,其包含:轉移因子;及由以下者之摻合物所組成的適應原(adaptogenic)養分組分:鹿草(Rhaponticum carthamoides)萃取物、五味子(Schisandra chinensis)萃取物、乙醯基-l-肉鹼HCl、山茶(Camellia sinensis)萃取物、催眠睡茄(Withania somnifera)萃取物、薑黃素(curcuminoid)之來源、白藜蘆醇(resveratrol)之來源及胡椒鹼(piperine)之來源。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項之膳食補充劑,其中該轉移因子及該適應原養分組分經定製以減少該個體身體對生理壓力作出的或作為年邁之特徵的發炎反應。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項之膳食補充劑,其中該轉移因子及該適應原養分組分經定製以調節該個體組織中腫瘤壞死因子-α、蛋白羰基及粒線體超氧化物歧化酶-2中至少一者之量。

- 如申請專利範圍第1項之膳食補充劑,其中該轉移因子及該適應原養分組分經定製以增加該個體身體中粒線體超氧化物歧化酶-2之量。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項至第5項中任一項之膳食補充劑,其進一步包含初乳之12,000Da或12,000Da以下的低分子量部分。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項至第5項中任一項之膳食補充劑,其基本上由 該適應原養分組分及該轉移因子組成。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項至第5項中任一項之膳食補充劑,其由該適應原養分組分及該轉移因子組成。
- 一種膳食補充劑,其由以下者組成:含有轉移因子之禽類的卵之萃取物;含有轉移因子之哺乳動物初乳萃取物;含有低分子量部分免疫調節劑之萃取物;鹿草萃取物;五味子萃取物;乙醯基-l-肉鹼HCl;山茶萃取物;催眠睡茄萃取物;薑黃素之來源;白藜蘆醇之來源;及胡椒鹼之來源。
- 如申請專利範圍第9項之膳食補充劑,其經調配以調節個體身體對生理壓力作出的或作為年邁之特徵的發炎反應。
- 一種針對個體身體之發炎反應的組成物,其包含:初乳萃取物;及適應原養分組分摻合物,該適應原養分組分摻合物由以下者組成:鹿草萃取物、五味子萃取物、乙醯基-l-肉鹼HCl、山茶萃取物、催眠睡茄萃取物、薑黃素之來源、白藜蘆醇之來源及胡椒鹼之來源, 初乳之12,000Da或12,000Da以下之低分子量部分及該適應原養分組分摻合物經調配以調節該個體身體之發炎反應。
- 如申請專利範圍第11項之組成物,其中該初乳萃取物及該適應原養分組分摻合物中至少一者經調配以調節該個體身體之中腹脂肪(central fat)質量。
