Description

智慧型射頻辨識衣
本發明是有關於射頻辨識(RFID)的實施,特別是有關於一種可攜式射頻識別讀取器技術。
如同在製造、運輸及其他商業活動中,射頻辨識標籤及讀取器被運用於各種庫存狀態控制。隨著射頻辨識系統及射頻辨識標籤的成本下降,此技術越來越普及。例如在零售商店、倉庫及運輸產業,員工攜帶手持式讀取器對元件、產品、包裝箱等物件進行掃描。掃描程序能用於確認庫存狀態或達成運送指示的精準度。除此之外還存在許多其他的應用,且在其中可攜式掃描器產生重要的功能。然而現有的可攜式射頻辨識掃描器概為單向的,且需手動指向待辨識的物件。
本發明提供一種可被使用者舒適地穿戴的可攜式射頻辨識系統(portable RFID system)。所揭示的系統能自動進行掃描操作(scanning operation)而不需要員工花費注意力手動操作,使員工的雙手能用於完成各種工作。本發明的該掃瞄系統能實施於一裝設有一射頻辨識天線陣列的背心式(vest-like)衣服,該射頻辨識天線陣列較佳地包含多數個狹長狀且可撓且多向的天線。較佳地,該等天線具有多個電波方向(beam direction)及極性(polarity)。該射頻辨識天線陣列能偵測遍佈於鄰近穿著該衣服的使用者的一鄰 近區域內的射頻辨識標籤。該射頻辨識天線陣列透過纜線電連接於一可攜式射頻辨識標籤讀取器及一電源供應器,該可攜式射頻辨識標籤讀取器及該電源供應器是裝設於該背心,或以其他方式被該穿著該背心者攜帶。穿著該衣服的使用者可不花任何力氣注意而透過該系統記錄任何出現的標籤。射頻辨識標籤讀取器讀取的標籤資料能被儲存而供事後下載,或被無線地傳送至一分離的遙控控制器。
因此,本發明智慧型衣服能登記鄰近區域/空間內任何一處出現的標籤,其中該鄰近區域是位於穿著該智慧型衣服的使用者所處之地點及/或路徑。穿著該智慧型衣服者能透過一設備四處移動並執行與標籤讀取有關或無關的工作,而該智慧型衣服能偵測出存在於穿著該智慧型衣服者所通過的空間中任何一處之標籤。當運用於零售業時,店員能整理產品貨架的表面並回應顧客的詢問。當店員完成必要工作,店員不需要花費精神或力氣使用射頻辨識系統,該智慧型衣服即能檢查庫存狀態及產品位置。
本發明有關於一可攜式射頻辨識系統(portable RFID system)10。如圖4所示,該可攜式射頻辨識系統10包括一射頻辨識天線陣列(antenna array)11、一射頻辨識標籤讀取器(reader)12及一電池式的電源供應器(battery power supply)13。如圖1至圖3中繪示的使用者14攜帶有該可攜式射頻辨識系統10以掃描複數個射頻辨識標籤(RFID tag)。各射頻辨識標籤關聯於一單獨的物件(object) ,如一產品、一元件或包裝箱(package)...等。透過本發明可攜式射頻辨識系統10,該使用者14能自由地於放置有加上射頻辨識標籤之貨物的空間中四處移動,例如零售商店、倉庫、工廠、運輸站、醫療場所等。
較佳地,本發明的射頻辨識天線陣列11可以是類似美國專利第8,058,998號揭露者。與該專利不同的是,本發明用於輻射或接收電磁訊號的射頻辨識天線陣列11包含複數個高可撓性且狹長形的天線16。該等天線16適於彎折而僅佔有限的長度。
參閱圖4,射頻辨識天線陣列11較佳地包含二蜿蜒的天線16。各天線16於平放於一平整支撐物時,具有一狹長的軸線(如虛線17所示),該等軸線通過一對平行且呈曲線狀且來回繞設的雙饋入式導線18(導體)。該天線16可以由一矩形狀且可撓的介電基板19(或薄膜)構成,例如廠牌「Mylar®」之相關產品。雙饋入式導線18是透過黏附或其他方式設置於介電基板19上。雙饋入式導線18是以導電材質(如銅或鋁片)製成。於相間隔的位置下,雙饋入式導線18透過長度較短的偶極輻射體21產生蜿蜒狀。偶極輻射體21用於輻射射頻能量,且通常是由與雙饋入式導線18相同的材質製成,且各偶極輻射體21電連接於與其對應之雙饋入式導線18。相鄰且分別設於一雙饋入式導線18的一對偶極輻射體21形成偶極。較佳地,各偶極輻射體21以一正確的角度延伸至其與雙饋入式導線18相交處。
舉例來說,天線16是3英尺長,而用於支撐偶極輻射體21之介電基板19是7英吋寬。各天線16收納於一耐久性高、防水、狹長狀、平坦狀且布質的袋體22。各袋體22內設置有一軟質的減震層或棉絮23,且棉絮23設置於天線16面向攜帶該射頻辨識天線陣列11之使用者的一側。同軸纜線24的內導體(center conductor)及外導電套體(outer conductive sheath)分別電連接至對應之天線16的其中一雙饋入式導線18,且伸出至袋體22外部。
一個有效佈設射頻辨識天線陣列11的方法是將各天線16配置於背心或與背心相似的衣服26內部。較佳地,該等天線分別設置於衣服26的左半部及右半部,且各天線16大部分是位於衣服26的前側。同軸纜線24設置於衣服26內部的後側。各天線16鄰接同軸纜線24的偶極輻射體21是位於衣服26的肩部。
較佳地,袋體22是可拆卸地設置於衣服26內部,設置的方式可以是透過廠牌「Velcro®」之相關產品、掀鈕(snap)、鈕釦、拉鍊或口袋等固緊件。透過該等可拆卸的固緊件,袋體22可由衣服26取下,使得衣服26可以被洗滌或歸還。
射頻辨識標籤讀取器12分別透過該等同軸纜線24電連接至天線16。射頻辨識標籤讀取器12及電源供應器13是被穿著衣服26的使用者14攜帶,且電源供應器13通常是一電連接於射頻辨識標籤讀取器12的一充電電池。射頻辨識標籤讀取器12及電源供應器13可透過固緊件固定以 設置於衣服26的內部口袋,或者,可設置於一可與衣服26分離的腰帶上。
圖1至圖3繪示被使用者14穿戴的射頻辨識天線陣列11的一較佳配置。圖3繪示偶極輻射體21產生的射頻電波。射頻辨識天線陣列11輻射至一位於使用者14前方及兩側的鄰近區域,該鄰近區域概呈圓柱形且由地面延伸至使用者頭部上方。依據不同的功率大小,射頻辨識天線陣列11的輻射範圍能介於2英尺至10英尺之間。
到達使用者的射頻功率密度是最小值。射頻功率分佈於設有偶極輻射體21處。較佳地,該等天線16是交替地被供電,因此各該天線16的責任週期減半。更佳地,該等天線16於射頻辨識標籤讀取器12處理資料時不運作,因此能進一步減少該等天線16的責任週期。射頻辨識標籤讀取器12供電給偶極輻射體21,並透過偶極輻射體21接收來自射頻辨識標籤的射頻辨識訊號。若有需要,可透過一設於使用者14與天線16間的反射性材料將使用者與天線16的輻射隔離,反射性材料可以是導電金屬薄膜或布。反射性材料(如棉絮23)產生的間隔距離至少為3/4英吋。
由於袋體22及其內容物具有可撓性且重量輕,使用者14既不用費力地擔負該可攜式射頻辨識系統10,該可攜式射頻辨識系統10也不會妨礙使用者移動。值得一提的是,使用者14於穿著設有可攜式射頻辨識系統10的衣服26時,使用者14的手部能自由地完成任何工作。穿著該可攜式射頻辨識系統10的使用者14能走過或以其他方式通過配 置有加上射頻辨識標籤之物件的空間。該可攜式射頻辨識系統10將讀取所有射頻辨識天線陣列11可讀取的範圍內之標籤。射頻辨識標籤讀取器12能將資料暫存於一裝置供事後傳送至一控制器,或將資料以無線傳輸的方式傳送至一遙控控制器。
本發明除了能設置於背心式的衣服上,還有其他的配置方式。當本發明設置於實驗室外套或長袍(gown),天線16的長度可以增加。射頻辨識天線陣列11也可以設置於披肩(stole)或圍巾(scarf)。本發明除了使用於零售商店,還可應用於工廠組裝產線、運輸部門及與保健事業有關的場所。該可攜式射頻辨識系統10除了用於確認庫存狀態外,在其他的應用中還能確認組裝及運送的精確度。在各種應用中,穿著該可攜式射頻辨識系統10的使用者14的手部皆能自由地完成一般或需要手工的作業。
如商店、工廠、倉庫等場所的已知地點的特定區域能長期地設置射頻辨識標籤。透過該可攜式射頻辨識系統10同時偵測物件標籤及地點標籤,能測定及/或登記加上射頻識別標籤的物件之地點或鄰近之地點。使用者14不需要花費注意力找出物件的地點。透過該可攜式射頻辨識系統10與一遙控控制器即時地無線通訊,該控制器能傳送指示給使用者14。舉例來說,若使用者14於該場所中搜索一特定物件,該控制器能透過無線、音訊或視訊訊號指示使用者14正處於該物件的鄰近區域。
為了監控使用者14的工作活動,穿著衣服26的使用 者14及/或衣服26本身可配置射頻辨識標籤,特別是在射頻辨識標籤被策略性地(strategically)設置的地點。
本發明所揭示的內容是透過舉例的方式,在不脫離包含在所揭示內容的公平教示範圍的前提下,可以透過添加、修改,或消除細節而進行各種改變。因此,除了下述的權利要求範圍必要的限制,本發明並不限於在所揭示的特定細節。

Claims (11)

  1. 一種可攜式射頻辨識系統,包含:一射頻辨識天線陣列;一射頻辨識標籤讀取器;及一電源供應器;該射頻辨識天線陣列、該射頻辨識標籤讀取器及該電源供應器適於供一使用者穿戴或以其他方式攜帶,且適於彼此電連接以使該電源供應器供電給該射頻辨識標籤讀取器,且使該射頻辨識標籤讀取器供電給該射頻辨識天線陣列,並使該射頻辨識標籤讀取器於該使用者通過一區域時透過該射頻辨識天線陣列接收一射頻辨識標籤訊號;其中,該射頻辨識天線陣列包括二彼此分離且雙饋入式的天線,各該天線具有複數個蜿蜒設置的雙饋入式導線,及複數個沿該天線的長度方向分佈的偶極輻射體;其中,該射頻辨識天線陣列能輻射於一鄰近區域,該鄰近區域位於使用者前方且由地面延伸至該使用者頭部上方。
  2. 依據申請專利範圍第1項所述之可攜式射頻辨識系統,其中,該等天線的其中一者設置於該使用者的軀幹的左半部,該等天線的另一者設置於該使用者的軀幹的右半部。
  3. 依據申請專利範圍第1項所述之可攜式射頻辨識系統, 其中,其中一偶極輻射體是設置於該使用者對應該偶極輻射體的肩膀上方或後方,使得該偶極輻射體能向上輻射至該使用者的頭部上方。
  4. 依據申請專利範圍第1項所述之可攜式射頻辨識系統,其中,該等雙饋入式導線設置於一狹長的且可撓的介電基板,該等介電基板分別覆蓋於該使用者的左肩膀與右肩膀上。
  5. 依據申請專利範圍第4項所述之可攜式射頻辨識系統,其中,各該天線是設置於一狹長狀且布質且內有一填充物的袋體,且各該填充物為減震層或棉絮。
  6. 一種於空間中讀取射頻辨識標籤的方法,包含:(A)使用一設置於一使用者的軀幹上的射頻辨識天線陣列,該使用者能通過一空間,其中,該射頻辨識天線陣列具有二狹長的且可撓的天線,各該天線具有複數個蜿蜒設置的雙饋入式導線,及複數個沿該天線的長度方向分佈的偶極輻射體;及(B)該射頻辨識天線陣列設置於該使用者的軀幹的方式,能使得當該射頻辨識天線陣列掃描一由地面至該使用者頭部上方的鄰近區域且傳送射頻辨識資料給一該使用者攜帶的射頻辨識標籤讀取器時,該使用者的手部不需支撐該射頻辨識天線陣列而能完成其他工作。
  7. 依據申請專利範圍第6項所述之於空間中讀取射頻辨識標籤的方法,其中,該等天線分別覆蓋於該使用者的肩膀。
  8. 依據申請專利範圍第7項所述之於空間中讀取射頻辨識標籤的方法,其中,各該天線是設置於該使用者對應該天線的肩膀上方或後方。
  9. 依據申請專利範圍第7項所述之於空間中讀取射頻辨識標籤的方法,其中,各該雙饋入式導線設置於一可撓的介電基板上,各該介電基板是可移動地裝設於該使用者穿著的一背心上。
  10. 依據申請專利範圍第9項所述之於空間中讀取射頻辨識標籤的方法,其中,各該天線是容置於一狹長狀且布質且內有一填充物的袋體,該等袋體可移動地裝設於該背心的內部,且各該填充物為減震層或棉絮。
  11. 依據申請專利範圍第6項所述之於空間中讀取射頻辨識標籤的方法,其中,複數個射頻辨識標籤長期地設置於使用該射頻辨識天線陣列及該射頻辨識標籤讀取器的房屋的已知位置。
