Body cleansers containing a natural antibacterial component and being harmless to the ecological system. A liquid extract of kumazasa (low, striped bamboo) having a concentration of 7% or more is added to chewing gums, tooth pastes and mouth washes for cleansing the oral cavity; soaps, shampoos and cosmetics including creams which are applied to the body for cleansing; and bathing preparations and antiseptics in which at least a part of the body is soaked for cleansing.
