This invention provides a frame structure for a motorcycle capable of ensuring the expanded capacity of the container box as well as the accuracy of left and right positions of the engine mount parts of the pair of left and right engine brackets. In a frame structure for a motorcycle that an engine bracket 15 is disposed between a rear end 7a of a down tube 7 extended obliquely downwardly from the head pipe 6 and a seat pipe16, said engine bracket 15 is formed its lower end 15b to be extended below an engine mount 15a where a unit swing type engine is coupled; said lower end 15b is connected to the rear end 7a of a horizontal part extending approximately horizontally of said down tube 7; and on said lower end 15b of the engine bracket 15 is disposed a cross member 21 joining left and right engine brackets 15.
