Abstract

A variable-wheel-gauge system with a variable-wheel-gauge bogie for rolling stock, comprising: an axle tank, suspending by an elastic component from the accessory truss of the frame; an axle shaft, supported vertically and movably on the axle tank; an axle bush, axially slidable and arranged on the axle shaft for moving between the positions of wide gauge and narrow gauge; wheels, individually supported to rotate on the bush bearing; a driving motor, individually supported on the bush to drive the wheel; a stop element, individually formed on the periphery of the bush; and an arresting device, formed on the axle tank, engageable with the stop element on the bush to when each bush is at the position of narrow gauge and when the weight of the frame is acted on the bush through the axle tank, it is used to limit the axial movement of the bush; a variable-gauge track, connected to a track of wide gauge and a track of narrow gauge; and a variable-gauge track where track of wide gauge and track of narrow track extend along the outside of these tracks, and thus connect to the axle tank and the stop element on the bush relevant to the axle tank disengages from the arresting device on the axle tank.
