Abstract

An air-charging system for a four-cycle internal combustion engine, which comprises:a first centrifugal compressor;a second centrifugal compressor; a four-cycle internal combustion engine having a gas inlet, in which a pipe connecting the first and the second compressor enables the compressors to be connected in series to supply air to the gas inlet; and an electric motor connected to drive either one of the two compressors.
