Abstract

A recess (20) is formed in a portion of an upper surface of a seat cushion (2) of a driver' s seat (1), the portion being in a front end corner region and on the side of passenger' s seat (4). A front side grasping type operating knob (21) is stored in the recess (20) and pivotably supported on the seat cushion (2). A parking cable connected at one end thereof to the operating knob (21) is drawn in the forward direction of the vehicle by pulling and raising the operating knob (21) in the rear upward direction, so that a parking brake mechanism is thereby operated.
