Abstract

Grained artificial leather consists of a substrate layer and a coating layer Y formed on the one side of the substrate layer. The substrate layer consists of an entangled nonwoven fabric of a bundle of ultrafine fiber having an average single fiber fineness of 0.7 dtex or less and a polymeric elastic body A and a polymeric elastic body B dipped within the inner side thereof. The entangled nonwoven fabric X consists of a lower layer XA and a upper layer XB. The lower layer XA is mainly dipped so that the polymeric elastic body A are substantially not bonded to the bundle of ultrafine fiber, and the upper layer XB is mainly dipped so that the polymeric elastic body B are substantially not bonded to the bundle of ultrafine fiber. The coating layer Y comprises a coating layer YB consisting of the polymeric elastic body B having a thickness of 1 to 10 μm formed on the upper layer XB, a coating layer YC consisting of the polymeric elastic body C formed on the coating layer YB, and a finishing layer YE formed on the a coating layer YC. The above-structured grained artificial leather has all the superior appearance, softness, flexibility and high peeling strength of natural leathers.
