Abstract
Bir yüksek dinamik aralıklı görünüşün bir görüntüsünün kodlanmasına yönelik bir görüntü kodlayıcı (549) olup, görüntü kodlayıcı aşağıdakileri içermektedir: bir görüntü temsili (Im_1) ile görüntünün piksel renklerini kodlamak üzere düzenlenen, N-bit kod sözcüklerini içeren bir piksel dokusu kodlama birimi (552); görüntünün en z bir bloğunda bir birinci nesnenin tüm piksellerinin lumalarının altına ve görüntünün en az bir bloğunda bir ikinci nesnenin tüm piksellerinin lumalarının üzerine sınır işareti çeken bir luma değeri olan, bir bölge türev alıcı gri değeri (gTS) saptamak ve göndermek üzere düzenlenen bir görüntü analizi birimi (550); ve bir çıktı görüntü sinyalinde (S(Im_l, MET(gTS)) görüntü temsilini (Im_1) ve bölge türev alıcı gri değeri (gTS) birlikte kodlamak üzere düzenlenen bir biçimlendirici (554), HDR görünüşlerini kodlayan, özellikle mevcut MPEG video kodlama standartları ile uyumlu görüntü formatlarında bunları kodlayan görüntülerin çok yönlü kullanımını önemli ölçüde mümkün kılmaktadır.
