Abstract

Bu buluş, belirli bir frekans spektrumundan elde edilen güç düzeylerini kullanarak yayın tipini tahmin eden (kestiren) yeni bir metot ile birden fazla yayın tipi üzerinde gerçekleştirilen kanal arama prosesinin hızlandırılmasını sağlamaktadır. Belirli bir frekans spektrumu üzerindeki güç seviyesi dağılımı kullanılarak, bir sinyalin (analog / dijital) tahmini yayın tıpı kestirilir ve kanal arama ve hafızaya alma prosedüründe kendi kestirilen yayın tipine öncelik verilerek ilgili kanal alıcısı (tüner) kullanılır. Bu metot birden fazla yayın tipini destekleyen tüm uydu alıcıları, dijital plazma-tft televizyonlar, tümleşik dijital televizyonlarda kullanılabilir.
